  1. Cool..use that in conjuction with a brown noise weapon.
  2. A '90s 993 (last of the air cooled 911s) is on my 'must own eventually' list..I loved the style of the last ones, esp. the C4S. Though a 996 C4S is pretty sweet also (I love the full-width taillight treatment.. I wouldn't mind a Boxster S either..I've ridden in and driven one a couple times, they are pretty sweet (but tiny inside). One of the scariest fast rides I've ever had was in a buddy's '76 930 Turbo one time..
  3. Weight is the enemy of performance...if it's lighter, it can perform better with less power..
  4. That Avalanche looks great.. I love the clean and refined look of the 900s, much better than the overly macho and blunt original Avalanches, IMHO..
  5. That's why I said a light base model with the Ecotec..2800lbs instead of 3600lbs... Anyway, I hope they can keep the weight under control..
  6. That Liberty mileage is pretty much the same is what I get with my 4x4 Grand Cherokee with the 4.0L 6..
  7. What I've observed is that on many feature details, GM is about 5 years or one generation behind its competitors. The Malibu and G6 as they are now would be pretty competitive in 2000-2001, for example..
  8. The key to the sales is going to be offering a fun car that appeals to a wide variety of buyers in a reasonable price range comparable to the Mustang.. Maybe to undercut the Mustang in price, maybe they will do a light base model with the Ecotec engine... then a 250 hp V6, a base 300 hp V8 (5.3L?) for an SS and a higher output (350-400hp) 6.0L V8 Z-28 (or have the SS the bigger engined model and the Z-28 the smaller one?), and a 500 hp 6.0L Z06 engined model at the high end..
  9. And Nickelback also, please..
  10. The H1 is waaaay too large and heavy to be of any value off-road. If I wanted to get serious about off-roading, I'd get a Rubicon.
  11. Hmm...the Ion has only been around for a few years? Why would someone put 200k on one???
  12. Well, one argument I can see for keeping the DTS is that Lexus still has the ES.. there still seems to be a market for floaty FWD luxury sedans..
  13. Hmm...so my generation gives the nod to the H3..how boring.
  14. Camry buyers couldn't care less about 'blowing doors off' or 'character'..they want reliable appliances.
  15. The quarter window is too squared off...looks more like a '70-72 Skylark to me..
  16. Agreed, good riddance..it was complete nonsense, IMHO. If I could afford a high dollar prestige SUV I'd get something good looking that would actually be enjoyable to drive like a Cayenne Turbo S or Range Rover Sport, not a crude, primitive military vehicle..
  17. Cadillac definitely needs a 4-seat coupe and convertible...something in the size range of the CLK would be great...
  18. Agreed...looks much nicer than the larger G6..
  19. Yes, it's the kind of place I'd love to spend a day wandering around...
  20. Nationality--US. Ethnicity- English, Scottish, Welsh, Irish Regionality- Now a city dweller in Denver, Colorado, but Appalachian by heritage--born in eastern Ohio, parents & grandparents from eastern Kentucky
  21. And with Lexus, Toyota has luxury cars you don't have to think about... it's also a rational, sensible choice, at higher price points than a Toyota, but still very sensible.
  22. I would argue that DCX's brands (Smart, Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep, M-B, Maybach) are far better differentiated with each other (though Dodge & Chrysler have some overlap) than GM's brands..
  23. True'nuff...I'm sure if they put a chrome Hummer grille on the 'Vette or Aveo, they would sell well also... the Hummer brand is a nothing but a faux-macho BS image, no real substance, IMHO... the H1 was an antiquated military truck that made no sense as a civilian street vehicle...
  24. Also, the article was innacurate with the focus on only boomers..I certainly know plenty Gen Xers that drive Camrys and Corollas.. Many people buy Toyotas as they are the rational, sensible choice..they know they are getting a reliable car and one with a good resale value. These are not car enthusiasts, just regular people that need a car to get from point A to point B and back again.
