If Zeta Came To North America Which Vehicles....?
My thoughts (trying to stay in the realm of the plausable and likely): I'm visualizing a Chevy sedan (Caprice)--aimed at the police market and RWD sedan market, and a sporty coupe (Camaro). Not sure about the Monte Carlo--will it remain FWD with the Impala? I see this RWD sedan coexisting with the FWD Impala (it's a big seller) and being at the top of the Chevy sedan line. For Pontiac, a RWD G8 sedan to replace the Bonneville & Grand Prix (though I'd rather see it have one of those names, 'G8' seems inevitable), and the next GTO coupe. A sport wagon version of the G8 to compete with the Magnum would be great. For Buick, a top of the line RWD luxury sedan above the Lucerne...I'd call it 'Electra'. (a luxury coupe and convertible or coupe/convertible called Riviera would be great also).

Diesels a possibility on next line of SUVs
Agreed...personally, I'd rather have a diesel over a hybrid...or how about a hybrid diesel?

Hummer or Smart
Sounds like you have serious attitude issues...

Modern Culture
It seems like a lot of the white religious OC suburbanites moved here... (Colorado). There are a ton of ex-OC religious folk in Colorado Springs and Douglas County (south of Denver suburbia). Though we also have a lot of Bay Area dot-bomb escapees.. :)

Modern Culture
I like Panera's half-sandwich/soup deal... I go there once in a while, but parking at the one closest to my office is a pain..

High Performance
For a performance car, I prefer RWD and a manual transmission..that's about the only thing in common amongst the types of performance cars I like (everything from Mustangs to BMWs to Porsches to the NSX).

A few notes to cellular customers
I've had great service from Verizon for about 5 years now.. I've got the Palm Treo 650 currently..not the smallest phone, but it takes the place of my cell and PDA..

Better Cars Not Enough
That's what I was thinking...I wonder if the trucks will have a shorter center stack, though..the way it extends down would cut into knee room with a bench..

Sunday Breakfast
Breakfast is my favorite meal..usually just cereal, coffee and OJ (occasionally a bagel during the week), but we usually always go out on Sundays for breakfast..favorite places are a local place called 'Dozens'..or chains like 'Original Pancake House', 'The Egg and I'.. wish we had a Cracker Barrel close by or a Bob Evans (I miss going to those--used to always go to them when I lived in the Midwest). Bacon, sausage, pancakes, crepes...mmm..(or a baguette with ham and cheese--I loved eating those in Europe). My g/f and I spent the weekend in Aspen and had a great breakfast there yesterday.. the fall colors were great--perfect weekend for driving a convertible in the mountains (though it was down to 45 degrees at the top of Independence Pass--about 12k ft elevation).

Better Cars Not Enough
Does GM even offer a front bench in any of their SUVs?? I've never seen one equipped with one. I suspect the reason the dash and console aren't integrated is that the same dash structure will probably be used on the pickups (I can imagine base models of the Silverado having a bench)...

Diesel commuter cars
'Car' magazine lists the Astra 1.3cdi at 58 MPG.... (in their comprehensive new car listing at the back of the magazine). I'm not sure if those are US gallons, though, or Imperial gallons. Odd that it would be in Km/Litre on the website.. I'd expect that in Continental Europe for an Opel but in not the UK (they use miles)...

2006 Aston Martin V8 Vantage
Forget the DB7..it had a lot of Jaguar XJ-S parts underneath...the DB9 and V8 Vantage are totally different cars..
-
2006 Aston Martin V8 Vantage
Beautiful car...love the interior design and the exterior... AMs are pretty scarce...I see Ferraris periodically, but never Astons...

Super Rice or Super Cool
That is hideous... I truly do not comprehend the custom car mentality, though.

2008 JEEP WRANGLER
I've always liked them also..they are crude and unrefined on-road, but fantastic off-road...my girlfriend has an '02...it's a lot of fun to go up in the mountains in the summer with top and doors off, bumping over mountain passes on rocky roads. We try and go up to the mountains with hers at least once a month. I wouldn't trade my Grand Cherokee for one as far as a daily driver, but I like the real SUV qualities of the Wrangler...it's the genuine article without the poseur image of the Hummer..

C&G Spy Shots: The Next ION!
Look good...and they put the gauges where they belong!

Yes, but GM still built the Astro up until this year...that speaks volumes. A 2005 vehicle that performs that poorly in a crash test is unacceptable, regardless of the manufacturer...

GM Badges
Yeah, the placement on the Solstice seems odd to me...low on the doors...or the Corvette (low in front of the rear wheel).

What is the Best Car for Having Sex?
Best---girlfriend's dad's '86 Caprice Estate wagon (very roomy) in high school... Worst-- Mustang GT in college...the console, parking brake, and shifter all get in the way.. I'll admit, though, I haven't done it a car in many years....my g/f and I prefer getting busy at home or in a hotel... \ \.

GM Badges
They are there so when you get close you can see that they are a GM <tm> product and not a Ford, Chrysler, Toyota, Honda, etc.. :)

North Korean Pyeonghwa Premio Pick-Up
The greenhouse definitely looks old Isuzu..

Chinese JiangLing Landwind
Yes, GM has built plenty of unsafe shitboxes as well....

The way the passenger compartment collapsed reminds me of the crash test photos I've seen of the Blazers and previous GM minivans (Venture, TransPort, etc)... \

Do you post here as a GM owner?
I'm a past GM owner, past and present Ford owner, and current Jeep and BMW owner. I will likely be a future GM owner and BMW owner... maybe a Benz or Porsche also. I'm a car enthusiast in general--I like a lot of different types of cars, and also am a fan of car history and culture, along with building model cars and diecast car collecting...

The styling reminds me of a mash-up between a Rodeo, previous-generation Explorer, and a mid-90s Blazer...
