Bad stretch jobs
A classy stretch I saw a couple years ago was a mid '90s Caddy STS that had maybe a foot and a half added between the doors.. all black with factory wheels and tires..pretty tasteful, IMHO.

Car selling on Sundays
I think it is related to the old-time 'blue laws' which have to do with why in many places you can't buy alcohol on Sundays..

2006(?) Chevrolet Epica
I'm not sure why Chevy sells both the Epica and Malibu in Canada... there doesn't seem to be much price difference..they seem redundant with each other...

C&D: $35K Sports Sedan Comparison Test
The CTS-v is a sweet car, but the lack of a coupe would steer me towards getting another M3.. Of course, a $50k sports coupe/sedan comparison is a lot different that a $35k one..the regular CTS has a lot going for it at $35k, IMHO.

Caught in the Crossfire: Chrysler mulls....
It's a neat car at $30-35k, but in the $50k range, there are many more desirable sports cars, IMHO...

Car selling on Sundays
Same here in Colorado...Sundays are a great day to walk around car lots and look at cars without being hassled by salesmen.

streach jobs, ey ?
Hmmm..that 2-seat Buick would be fun to build in scale.. the same idea could be applied to the Revell '59 Impala ht kit that is currently available. As far as Barris, I've never really gotten into his stuff..I find most of it rather tasteless and overdone..

2006 Dodge Dakota R/T
I don't know about the current models, but IIRC the old Durango and Dakota (which shared a lot) had rather poor crash result records...

what make..
A little of everything, but the most common around here (metro Denver area) have to be Hondas, Toyotas, and lots and lots of Subuarus and Audis....(AWD is very popular here), and plenty of BMWs also... at least in the areas I frequent (downtown, Cherry Creek, and the southeast suburbs (Greenwood Village, Cherry Hills, Englewood, Centennial). For SUVs, I see a lot of Toyotas but also a lot of domestics (esp. Jeeps & GM full-sizers (Yukons, Tahoes, 'Burbans).

Rice aint cool at my school
Interesting..I didn't realize any shoes were made in the USA...I have a couple pairs of New Balances and they are both imported, I believe..

2006 Dodge Dakota R/T
I guess the best thing I can say about the Dakota styling is that it doesn't have the same front end as the Durango (one of ugliest SUVs on earth, IMHO).

Rice aint cool at my school
I suppose one could look it that way..I don't dwell on where a product is manufactured... I'm sure most of my clothes, home electronics, TVs, computers, etc were not made in the US..

Rice aint cool at my school
Sounds like this kid needs to spend more time in English class than the parking lot...whatever happened to basic grammar and spelling?

Disturbing trends on the street
I saw a black late '90s Honda Accord 4dr with gray ones hanging off the rear bumper. What kind of stupidity is this?
-
Bad stretch jobs
Speaking of ugly stretches--that '79 Firebird Trans Am stretch 'wildmanjoe' posted above--I saw a photo of how it looks today (or one similar) in a magazine a while back--a rusted, burned-out hulk sitting in a field.

Bad stretch jobs
There was a stretched late '80s Electra T-Type (the FWD model) with a mild stretch ( kind of like the the '77 models GM1 posted above) in the little town in Ohio I used to live in... wonder what ever happened to it. It was subtle enough that you didn't realize it was stretched until you looked at it in profile..

Subaru Blitzen & Edge
I wonder why those don't have new retro-Saab front end.
-
2006(?) Chevrolet Epica
Odd how the rear badging is reversed..should say 'Chevrolet' on the left and 'Epica' on the right..reads backwards the way it is...
-
2006 Dodge Ram Mega Cab Dually
I wonder if they are going to do an SRT-10 version of the Mega Cab..
-
2006 Dodge Ram MegaCab
Maybe GM can one-up this by combining the extended cab with the crew cab (i.e. 4 conventional doors and 2 rear-opening doors with a 3rd row of seats...)
-
2006 Dodge Ram MegaCab
Kind of reminds me of how a mild limo stretch would look on a pickup cab.. Hmmm....maybe GM can do something similar--stretch the cab of a 4dr Silverado 20-30 inches, put on an Escalade front clip, and call it the Fleetwood 75.. :)

Modern Culture
That's pretty stupid... too dumb to use a cupholder? And why would you take off the top of the cup? Felony stupid.
-
Anybody see any 2006 MAlibus yet?
Just a new grille and fascia, eh?
-
High Performance
True..but the serious ones are all RWD (with AWD optional on some).

Cadillac unveils 'King of Bling' Escalade
The CEO of my company drives one... pearl white, gold trim, stock chrome wheels...he's a white, 50-something golf-playing Canadian guy..I'm not sure if he's down with the gangsta rap image and hip-hop music in general.. :)
