The sheetmetal is different between the '77-79 and '80-85 (?) coupes.... the '80-85 had a more vertical rear window... the interiors were pretty much the same, though...and of course, the engines differed...(425 in '77-79 then 368 in '80 and the 4.1 came about somewhere in there...there were also diesels in the early '80s and even some V6 deVilles...

The Century or the Sable comes to mind as the most likely of that group. My mother is a older female driver (past 70) but I don't think she would be interested in any of those cars.... Her primary cars are a '98 Lincoln Town Car and an '05 Lincoln Navigator. She also has a '90 Mustang LX 5.0 convertible, a '69 Mustang Mach 1 (had it since it was new), and 3 '67-68 Cougars (all cars she & my late father collected over the years)..

Offer it here with a diesel and a manual and it would make a great commuter car... or a family car for small, upscale families... potential similar market to the Volvo V40, Audi A3 and BMW 1-series...

Montana SV6...either become just 'SV6' or dropped completely... BPG dealers don't need two minivans... As far as existing, longer-lived names: Grand Prix.... I suspect it will become the 'G8' eventually..

CSX sounds more plasuable than 'CXS'--after all, Buick had a GS, GSX, GNX, etc... 'CXS' is inconsistent.

Hmmm...if I had to choose between the two, I'd go for the Smart...the Hummer is beyond stupid. The Smart would be a great commuter car, but for an all-around car, I'd probably need something larger that seats 4..

Well, the Impala is about the same size as far as interior space with the Accord and Camry...it just has a lot of body overhang that makes it longer...and it's in the same price range...so it's competitive with them... as are the G6 and Malibu at the smaller end.. Chevy's strategy isn't that different than Ford's...Ford has both the Fusion and Five Hundred to compete against the big 3 (Camry/Altima/Accord), and the Five Hundred can also go against the Avalon..

Well, Dodge only had one SUV, the hideous Durango, so they definitely needed something smaller... its got the typical Dodge butch styling cues. I don't care for the looks, but it probably would do well. Though I'm a Jeep fan, I probably wouldn't go for a Liberty if I switched to a small SUV...more likely an Escape or wait for the Patriot...
