    Have a good look at an Aspen sometime. They're actually one of the nicest vehicles out there in the larger SUV class IMO. Inside AND out.

    Pontiac isn't well known for it's TRUCK division. The Pontiac Aztec that had heavy Pontiac styling and it looked like cheese. The infectious kind. :AH-HA_wink: Chevy would be a natural IMO. Pontiac? Not so much. lol

    I like the "Camino" in your sig pic. I figure a Pontiac ute doesn't make sense. Either Chevy or GMC would be more fitting. The last "out of the mainstream" Chevy truck was the SSR, and I don't see them much at all, maybe once or twice every few months. My Chevy buddy's didn't like them at all, maybe they have too narrow an imagination, not sure. The utes are cool looking and somewhat practical. I like them!

    Drink much? LOL The interior is actually pretty nice. Leather heated seat, power everything, an EVIC that can tell you everything you could imagine. It's well laid out and everything is easy to use. I saw your post with the "OOOOOOO AAAAHHH" and whatever in the other thread. You should be a writer! LOL hahahaha

    I guess I just don't see it? I honestly have no thoughts about them one way or another, I never thought there would be "Aurora enthusiasts" to be honest. To ME they look like they blend in with the crowd.... I've always loved Jensen Interceptors though, and my friends have always HATED them. Not dislike, more of a really strong dislike. LOL I still love Jensen Interceptors, and can't figure out why other people don't like them more. Maybe it's the same situation? I just can't see what people would like about an Aurora, and I'm sure many people more than my friends don't see what I like in a Jensen Interceptor...? :AH-HA_wink:

    Got any links to that claim? I've driven in a Taurus wagon, and can't believe that to be true. Wikipedia says the Magnum is bigger in height and width. The Magnum's 58.4"/197.7"/74.1" versus 57.8/197.7/73" for the 2007 Taurus. I know five people fit ALOT better in the Magnum, I've done five people in both cars.

    Kind of odd, but I just read that link in the first post again- Gilles claims the "Chrysler 300 in modified form" will be a future "classic"..? Huh?? A MODIFIED car being a "future classic"? Doesn't make much sense to ME..?

    I like the Magnum interior, it's well thought out, and I've driven thousands of miles in a Magnum, never came close to having anything near "claustrophobia". The interior is quite spacious and comfortable.

    A Tucker, it isn't phenominally good looking, yet it's a "classic". A Max Wedge Dodge of the early 60's is FAST. Maybe the fastest car of it's time, but it's not a true "classic". A classic isn't the fastest, nor necessarily the best looking. It's something that will be told in time IMO. Usually it's a car that stands out, head and shoulders, above the "other cars". I see a few posts of cars that people who post them own. "Auroras" and "Millenias". Are these tongue in cheek? I hope....? *shrugs*

    I think you missed what I posted. A Mustang could be termed a "rubber bumper" car, but what I posted was posted about the CORVETTE. Nothing to do with the Mustang at all. So, "again"... doesn't have a way to be responded to..?? The new Mustang is a good looking car, performance wise or not. It LOOKS good.

    I agree. The crossovers seem like they are bought by people THINKING about a bigger SUV, but don't really NEED a big SUV. Mind you, LOTS of people that don't need a big SUV still wind up buying one..... I think crossovers can be thought of as hitting both target markets, or missing both target markets, depending on taste of the persons posting. I think they miss both markets usually...

  21. Great final summation with all the facts in. LOL The Mustang guys post on their forums that a Corvette Z06 is a high 12 second car. The Mustang can either "run with it", or "beat it". My view is a little different than what theirs is... :AH-HA_wink: The Viper has ran 11.77 in the OLD version, 100hp less, more weight, etc...     I don't think "ANY" Mustang will, not by a long shot. CERTAIN Mustangs. Not any Mustangs. The majority of Mustangs will be dime a dozen IMO. The Z06 will be DESIREABLE for sure. The performance numbers don't lie. Bang for the buck it can't be beat. The early Corvettes were almost ALL "classics" imo, but once the rubber bumpers came it's been about performance for the Corvette, not unequalled personality. When the 1963 Corvette came out it was in a class all by itself IMO. Nothing was close. Nowadays the Corvette isn't in the same predicament, it needs a boost in IMAGE. Not performance, it already has that.

    My wife traded her minivan for one of those. When she bought her minivan I absolutely did NOT want one, but it's so danged practical I almost miss it now. Her Magnum is much the same, when the 300 came out I didn't like them. I drove my buddy's brand new 300 SRT8 and was jaw dropped at the performance, acelleration, braking, cornering, you name it. Unfortunately my wife was in the car when I drove it... LOL She has always loved the Magnum since it came out, and always wanted one. I told her it probably had blind spots becasue of the low roof, probably got less than stellar gas mileage, etc etc I'm glad she never listened to me. She is now in LOVE with her car, for the first time ever. She even WASHES it. ALL THE TIME! LOL!!!!! 27mpg on the highway, tons of power (it's surprising) and a great all around car. 6 months and 18,000k later, she's happy as can be. Me too surprisingly!

    Ouch, aside from "ugly" for SOME minivans, I couldn't agree at all. We sold a minivan awhile ago, it was AWESOME as far as a practical vehicle goes. When my wife was looking at it I was wincing, I hated minivans at the time. She bought one, and seven years later when she sold it I was truly sad to see it go. It had 240,000ish K on it, and was the most trouble free vehicle I have had with that kind of mileage. GREAT handling, great suspension, but it had a "Sport" package- 16" wheels, big brakes, big sway bars etc... Rear seating was VERY comfortable. The doors never "squeaked", in fact I have never heard of that with ANY brand of minivan? I drove a 1997 Astro van of my neighbours, I think many GM guys who drive them must not appreciate minivans, because they do NOT drive like most minivans, they are very "delivery truck" like. Those who have driven them know what I mean... The crossover thing is for the confused crowd more than anything- they aren't sure what they want, and the salesman can talk them into a "combination" vehicle. "Best of both worlds", blah blah blah.... :AH-HA_wink:
