  1. Wrong. Put a Chevrolet or Saturn badge on it, wouldn't sell half as much. People buy it because its a Honda, not because of any truly redeeming qualities.
  2. Its amazing what people will buy as long as it has a chrome 'H' or a Toyota badge on it.

Its not a good looking car by any stretch, but neither is it incredibly ugly. Just kind of neutral and blah.

The Cobalt sedan isn't ugly, and really neither is the Corolla, current or future. In fact pretty much every compact sedan I can think of is incredibly boring. The only difference is the Corolla doesn't have a snazzy coupe or 5-dr hatch to add some spunk to the line-up. The Matrix isn't much better than the sedan.
  5. You're right, it looks a lot like the Sonata.
  6. The Malibu sedan looks MUCH better. Looks like they injected all the passion they had available into the coupe.

    Cool, thanks griffon.

    I wouldn't buy a Cobalt sedan, either. :AH-HA_wink:

So this Is the one we'll see in the US as well?

Dunno. Someone posted this at another community I post at this morning.

    Yes. Yes it is.

There's definitely nothing original about it. You look at it and get the feeling you've seen it all before.
  13. I just want to SEE the MCE Cobalt.

  16. The horn in my pop-in-law's 97 F150 is loud as all f@#k. The horn in our 06 Escape is nice and American and the horn in my 01 Crapalier is half-dead.
  17. Buy me something while you're at it. A gently used Cobalt SS/SC would suit me just fine, thanks.
  18. Here's one for the new one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LmG05AtNVtM
  19. While arguing about cars in another forum I post at, a few of the Japan Inc defenders have said that Toyota's recent drop in quality is probably because more of their parts are American-sourced. You're right, it is disgusting.
  20. There's a higher percentage of Toyota's in Lexington and surrounding area than anywhere else I've ever been, likely because a lot of people work at the Georgetown plant, so a lot of people get a discount.
  21. Interior detail, design, and quality matter in vehicles less than $32k its still a definite factor. Thinking otherwise is idiotic. It should matter in EVERY vehicle, from $10k Aveo's to $100,000 Cadillacs. The Cobalt is a shining example of a car thats 90% there, but lacking things like better interior design and materials quality.
  22. Having a B-pillar doesn't affect the perceived or factual quality of a vehicle. Having sub-par materials and/or a poor interior design does.
  23. HA! And I'm a year older than you. You know you're old when you look at teenagers with the same distaste that adults looked at you with when you were a teenager.
  24. I like the TL.
