Cheers or Jeers: 1960 Buick Invicta
For some reason I now want to go down to the gas station and grab a Monster.

The Bitch, Moan and Whine thread...
I asked for fried rice and got steamed rice. This is an outrage.

Coming Soon: CheersandGears - The Next Generation
That came out more snipey than I had intended. What I'm saying is that it seems posting has fallen off a cliff and mote often than not anymore every topic is just an echo chamber. Will the new software endear itself to new users?

Will the new C&G actually have, you know, activity?

Fisker Karma Gets The EPA Certification
Really? Could have sworn you loved this thing. Maybe until there was a meeting at C&G that decided anything with a Hybrid technology, battery assistance, taller gearing, or a green badge was deemed to be a terrible, inferior product. I missed it too. No, no, I swear I remember OB saying this is his new dream car and that he wants to sell his house in order to buy one and live in it. I enjoy reading any thread about the Karma because there will be pictures and my god its a pretty car.

The Bitch, Moan and Whine thread...
I don't want a C-class period. I mean, they're handsome enough, but the prices go from ridiculous to bat-$h! crazy really fast. She'll back off, this is the woman for whom a CTS was too flashy but a Prius was just right. And why aren't there any sanctioned 25 yard drag races? That would be great to watch.

LoL.. Congrats then? (which Mercedes?) Thanks. We hadn't planned on having kids until I'm out of school, guess we got about a year ahead of schedule... The commercial she was referring to is for the C-class. At least I hope, the other one that's been on a lot lately is the M-class and I really don't want an SUV. But that's an issue for another day.

The Bitch, Moan and Whine thread...
Several years ago I was cooking with habañeros and managed to get some in my eyes. Couldn't wear my contacts for over a month. This morning my wife and I, jokingly I had assumed, entered into an agreement that if she's pregnant we'll go car shopping (which is fine by me, I love the Cooper, but its getting up there in miles) and if she isn't, we'll go on vacation to France. She called me after her appointment and said, "I think I like that Mercedes we always see commercials for."

Thanks, final verdict on this should be coming within the hour. But I didn't need an elaborate plot to steal any urine, which is oddly disappointing.

Jill has been puking like a freshman but won't take a pregnancy test so I have to devise a plot to steal her pee.

Price of used cars...
This thread prompted me to check out what our cars are worth. The Mini, even with a ton of miles, is still worth 2/3 of the original purchase price. The TDI hasn't fared quote at well, losing 40%. But its paid off, thanks to C4C and the awesome trade-in of the Prius, we only had to finance like $4k.

Price of used cars...
Wranglers hold their value, they did before the economy tanked, they still do today. You'll pay $3,000 for a body with no engine, shouldn't shock anybody.

Ecotec To Go Turbo With New 3 & 4-Cylinder Engines
Your belief that every car on sale today is a FWD 3cyl sedan seems to be a little, well, wrong.

Ecotec To Go Turbo With New 3 & 4-Cylinder Engines
Off the top of my head, I can think of 16 RWD cars with high powered 6's or V8s. Know how many FWD 3 cylinder cars I can think is that are on sale today? None.

Ecotec To Go Turbo With New 3 & 4-Cylinder Engines
It's choices among cars that fit his rather narrow view of what a car can be that are diminishing. The Mini offers 3 different engines (if you count the JCW) and about 17 body styles, in prices ranging from $20 grand to over 40. And its difficult to call any Mini a bland generibox. My point is that if you're willing to suspend your preconceived notions of what a car must be, you can probably find something that meets your needs and is an absolute blast.

Guess Who Coming To Chevrolet's Lineup? The Spark
I never said I like the design, just the concept of the car and that it would be worse with smaller headlights.

Guess Who Coming To Chevrolet's Lineup? The Spark
You really think a smart is going to be roomier than the Spark? And I'd like to say this about the massive headlights: they serve a purpose, there would be a ridiculous amount of dead space without them. A part of me wonders if the complaints about them are just thinly veiled cries for the return of sealed-beam headlights.

Tiny cars are perfect in densely populated cities.

And when it does finally load someone will either call or text and you'll have to pretend you don't hope they immediately get AIDS. I know too well how that goes.
