  1. I've driven moms a few times, I can see the appeal. It really does feel like a more expensive car. Certainly quieter and smoother than the Sportwagen TDI.

    1) Dump a bag of Skittles in the toilet 2) Flush 3) Repeat for 4 hours
  3. Up front it does look like it could be a Pilot. Too big to pass off as a CR-V.
  4. Going to try this trick on my wife.

Unless you're a sports fan, there isn't much reason to pay for cable/satellite/whatever anymore. Programming sucks, so unless you absolutely NEED to watch the Mariners play the Tigers at 10PM, you're not missing much. And there are always ways to catch the shows you do watch on the intertubes.
  6. Wow, it sucks that the Cruze's pricing has kept it from selling well.
  7. And anyone who doesn't see things your way is?.....
  8. But no response to my main point, its easy to be tough when the other guy can be dead with a touch of the throttle.
  9. I find it amusing that you fail to realize that hiding behind the anonymity of the internet* is no different than remaining inside a 2700 pound battering ram on wheels during a dispute. *I'm sorry, I must have missed the invite to the symposium where you all discussed this event face to face. I'll start keeping a closer eye on the inbox.
  10. Motorcycle rider was irresponsible, but stationary. 'Blu was irresponsible but in motion with 2700 pounds at his disposal. Unless the motorcycle tires were made from asbestos and angry ferrets, OB was the larger threat of the two parties.
  11. We're talking about a pile of plastic, metal and rubber. One thats insured. Is it really worth putting the lives of innocent, uninvolved people in danger because of a few chunks of rubber? We aren't talking about my wife, or my son, or even my dog being in danger. We're talking superficial blemishes to my car. A machine. An appliance.
  12. The next time a shopping cart rolls into my car, I'll have to remember to find the person who let the shopping cart loose and punch them in the face repeatedly. Then I can use your brilliant "I'd be a pussy if I hadn't" defense.
  13. You also can't go through life acting like a psycho with a gun. Especially if you don't have a gun.
  14. Be safe, make sure you steer clear of black Festivas.

I'll see your American Mall and raise you one Midwestern water park. Awful, just awful.

50 miles is just commercial vehicles so they don't have to unload cargo at the border. And even that may not be the current law. Passenger vehicles can go anywhere, I've seen cars with Mexican plates in Missouri.
  17. Compuserve, now there is a blast from the past.
  18. 1) In that scenario, he would've wound up splattered on your back window. 2) Do you really believe there is no circumstance where a motorcyclist in front of you winds up on your hood?
  19. Somehow I've forgotten about the C30. Still a cool looking car.
  20. Just think of how much more paint damage your car would've suffered if you'd had a motorcycle and its rider flailing about on your hood/windshield/roof. Do you want to be the one with a corpse on your conscience? Because the paint on an inanimate object that can be easily replaced got a scratch?

In a weird way its a really fun experience. Not sure I'd want to do it on a regular basis, but its something different.
  22. Acting like a child because someone else was acting like a child, yep totally acceptable. In fact, only the most grown up adults do it.
  23. Satty replied to Satty's topic in The Lounge
Get to do it again in a little bit.
  24. This reminds me of the whole "GM could've made the Camaro a pillarless hardtop for $50,000 more in R&D" thing from a while back.
  25. Love the 500. I'm looking forward to a drive, I really hope its a grin-inducing as the Cooper. For the rest of the class, I will admit the Cruze is a decent ride and the Focus and Fiesta are pretty neat looking.
