  1. that's true Variance, but GM's trucks have a tendency to last longer, even though the minerals that came together to form that Iron didnt know they were going to be a Chevrolet a few thousand years later. Ask me about my '76 some time and I'll give you the rundown.
  2. Thank goodness I have a good Chevy dealership down here, so that if I wanted to, I could go and sign my name down on the waiting list right now, but I'm not financially able to buy the car, so what's the point for me.
  3. I ain't gonna touch this one. I'm really not.
  4. believe it or not, some dump trucks CAN look pretty damn good.
  5. Even for a mule that thing looks like a big steaming pile....
  6. I don't believe that ACES-series ejection seats are capable of doing that, since most are going to be upward or downward (yes, I said downward) firing.
  7. I honestly did forget them, but yes, they are balanced naturually too.
  8. I'm probably going to regret this......reverse cowgirl style
  9. I've found that almost every truck, especially four-wheel-drive models all have suspension problems of some form. With everyone else, its ball joints, with GM is Pitman arms and Idler arms.
  10. Honda does other things like small motors and power sports stuff well, but I just don't get their cars and "trucks". Either they're just blah, or they're disgusting. It also seems like Acura is loosing their way.
  11. siegen, I'd rather get shot out of the top of this thing at 90-mph and have my spine compressed a little than get killed because of a $h!tly designed little chinese tin can.

Me and the wife pay right about 242.00 a month for her Cobalt and my Impala, both cars have full coverage insurance. Her driving record isn't that great, about 3 accidents and one ticket. Mine isn't bad, but it could be a hell of a lot better, one ticket, one at fault accident. OH well, c'est la vie. We can't really complain. I know for the liability insurance on my '76, I pay maybe 35 a month.
  13. fricken chickiseed...I mean chicken friciseed!
  14. All right, my dream garage. Of course my 1976 Chevrolet C10 2WD (family heirloom, can't ever ever ever get rid of it). 1970 SS454 Chevelle two-door 1996 9C1 Impala SS 1985 K5 Blazer w/ 502-crate swap, T56 transmission, running on 32" boggers Dodge Magnum w/ the hemi (Wife wants one, must submit to her wishes) And finally one (1) 2007 Silverado 3500 HD crew cab dually with Duramax and Allison.
  15. Hudson is right on that account. The only really true naturally balanced engines are V8s, and most I6 engines.
  16. That is a very nice looking car. Probably a steal for someone who really likes 'em. Nice find Nick.
  17. I'd say more like ANY turn.

straight pipes would work, but my only fear would be the car's already low riding height....wouldn't want to damage all that exhaust by dragging pipes along the ground, you know? OH well, I guess I'd just have to go with straight headers and nothing else....
  19. Wow, an Opel GT....didn't really know that anymore of them were on the road except for my father-in-law's two and a friend of mine in the Air Guard has one. Its good to see the 'mini-vette" running around (God I know my father-in-law, or possibly my wife would kill me at that comment).
  20. It a way it doesn't because it still looks nothing like the original Charger, which I believe that any car that is part of a name coming back should have some traits from the previous generations of car/cars. I have to give the person kudos though just for doing it.
  21. That is definitely true.
  22. I don't think it does, and you're right, it would be the other way around.

    Happy Birthday man!
  24. It loosk good, but I agree with ya, get rid of those ass-munching rims.
  25. This isn't going to be an easy subject for me to comment on. I've got enough family and friends in the military to know the dangers that lie in their service. I've also done my fair share of service wiht ROTC, and also with my plans to rejoin in the Reserves. I also agree with what Booyah said. In a general subject, Islam, as a religion is, at heart, a peaceful religion. Although there are a few extremists that cause what's happened in the world today because they only see the violent side of the religion and its teachings. There are also Christian extremists out there too, but they aren't blowing up buildings and killing people just for $h!s and giggles like this scumballs are. Iran is a hellhole as compared to what it was like when the Shah was in power. I also hate to say it that the extremists have probably gotten nuclear weapons from either Pakistan, North Korea, or Iran, if not all three. They might not be the city levelers like what we've got here in the US, but they are damned sure going to be "dirty" bombs, designed to kill through enormous amounts of radioactivity. I don't know if they are going to use them, but considering that countries like North Korea are building long-range ICBM's, then there's always the chance that the technology could be purchased and they strap one onto a missile and send it inbound. I also wish that the bleeding heart, tree hugging hippie slackers that dodged the draft during the Vietnam era would stop bitching about the troops we have abroad, all that does is present to the enemy (that is ANY enemy of the US, not just Islamic radicals), a fractured front in which they can make inroads and spread. The bad guys are everywhere in this world today and I'm glad that the British were able to stop them. Now lets really get the world's attention and behead the little f@#kers just like those ragheads do on Al-Jazzera to our contractors, soldiers and non-combatants in Iraq and Afghanistan.
