  1. It could have been a helluva lot worse.
  2. Now this I have to agree with. I like the idea of using only small "tactical" rebates on cars and get people to realize that GM is making a lot better cars than what they'd produced years ago. Having the residuals come up on them is also a good thing.
  3. I didn't get a chance to catch the final game, although I am glad that Italy won.

Well, I just got back from seeing Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. Its a 2h-45m long movie although it doesn't feel like it in the least. I loved the movie, it was a whole lot darker than the first, which I liked and it was far funnier. The biggest thign that I saw was that the Transformer's movie was one of the previews that strung along. I got a kick out of seeing it and whispered to my wife "we'll be seeing that". So has anyone else seen the movie?
  5. Beautiful collection there MM, great pictures, I wish I could have been there.
  6. I sat in one the day before yesterday and I have to admit its a really comfortable car and looks really good. The interior was similar to the one shown in the picture. I like the way it all kinda blended and meshed together. The sales guy I was working with offered for me to take it for a drive, but I politely told him that if I did, there would be no rubber left on the tires and I'd probably get myself a ticket and make him $h! his pants. Besides, I was only looking anyway. I also definitely agree to the exterior of the car, it looks kinda blah...
  7. Its interesting, although the vehicle spoken about its hideous....sheesh.
  8. Part of me wants to, but part of me has absolutely no clue on this one.
  9. pecking order
  10. caprice, I'm going to be joining the National Guard as soon as I get some things squared away at home and I have a feeling that Uncle Sam might have other plans for me too when I hit the rifle range (wanna be a light-wheeled vehicle mechanic *I'd get to work on anything up to 5-tons* but with my ability to shoot, I might get something else).
  11. I know, I've already thought about it and had some current military guys read it, they've not said anything, but I also know that if they're working on anything like what I've got in the book then well, they ain't talkin'
  12. The W-body architecture has definitely been around a while and like cremazie said, its amazing what they were able to do with it and refine it to what it is today, although I do agree that it needs to be replaced with a RWD Zeta-based vehicle asap.
  13. Normally at my job the drive thru gets used often simply because we as the parts pros and counter people have to stay in the store and we just give our money to the driver and ask them to "pretty please" pick something up for us...
  14. Understandable. Glad I could help. You know, this gives me the idea of like an "ask Eddie" thread where everyone could ask me car-fixing related questions and I could help them out the best I can....hmmmm
  15. *patiently nudges thread back to the forefront of things for more reviews and likes/dislikes*
  16. Ahhh, I'm glad I live in the south, no snow, so no worries about snow...gimme a RWD again (or let my dad get done with that DAMNED International so I can get my truck into our shop) and I'll be happy.
  17. Thanks Mach. I have to say that the hardest model I've EVER built was a scale of the 1969 Lunar landing....talk about detail Holy $h! batman!

I guess maybe I'm not looking close enough at it, or something. Although the Kompressor badge is easier to see if its crooked or not considering its larger.
  19. Sleep, what is this thing you call sleep, I do not know of it. I really don't have trouble falling asleep at night, I go to bed when I'm tired about (usually around 11-1) and I get up at 7 when the alarm clock goes off.
  20. Yeah, what he said!

I haven't seen many crooked GM badges, but I have definitely seen the Kompressor badge crooked, they must be the cars that are built on a Friday before a long holiday weekend that are shipped here like that.
  22. speaking of aircraft parts....i had someone bring in the spark plug for a Pratt & Whitney Double Wasp radial today.... and we actually HAD it (talk about scary).
  23. Oil!
  24. It looks nice, although I think i'd be better with either tow more doors, or call it a Nomad.
  25. The car looks nice, although I'm going to disgree with the rims.
