The decklid opens, but you cannot get into the cargo area. The folded top blocks all access. The only way to put something into the trunk or get something out, is to put the top up. I got this confirmed from a dealer who saw it last week in Detroit. He's concerned that this will hurt sales.

Bad news about the g-6 convertible. You can't access the trunk with the top down. You must put the top back up to get something out of the trunk. They should have copied Saab's design, or made it with a cloth top. Too bad, it's a nice looking car.

Let's hope the success of the Enclave, and I think it will be successful, along with brisk sales of the Pontiac g-6 convertible will encourage GM to greenlight the Velite. With the Bengal a few years ago, and the Velite last year it's clear GM wants a convertible for Buick. They just have to pull the trigger.

Its a fun car to drive, and love the fact that I'm the first in town to drive one!

It's sharkskin csx v-8 with everything. It is so fast and handles better than the Mercedes did. The color glimmers in the sun and gets lots of looks from people on the highway. I'm waiting for some nasty weather so I can blast away the frost on the windshield. I recommend this car to anyone.

Paolino, I agree with you on the ugliness of the vans, but the argument someone else made about Buick quality is right on. You're putting your kids in a minivan...and you want quality and luxury. A Buick minivan is it.

I was talking to one couple who were probably late 50's or so who are trading in their Toyota Camry for a Lucerne. Their kids are out of college and they wanted to treat themselves. They also say they regretted buying a Camry because there are so many on the road just like theirs!
