On Route of Chevrolet Impala
The Impala is an attractively styled vehicle that indeed is not cutting edge at all. It is what it is...a stopgap. Does that mean it doesn't have its merits? No not at all. I still think the Accord is champs in the segment. The new Camry is probably better than the Impala overall...but suffers from plenty of flaws like "questionable" styling...still underpowered base engine and ridiculously small trunk for the segment.

At least the japanese companies finally decided to include ALL their plants.

Thank the media/insiders for this...
I'm not quite sure who would pay 16.5K for a base civic (DX with auto and freight)...its rather mind boggling. Then again its got the appropriate hood ornament so its all good.

Thank the media/insiders for this...
They should pay you to live with that awful interior.

VW Jetta TDI
The G6 has more room with the top up that the Solara while being a smaller vehicle overall. Pontiac.com lists 2.2 cu ft with the top down while I could not find information for the Solara. Maybe I'm the minority but trunk space with the top down is not that big of a concern to me. You won't find any convertibles that you can comfortably load 4 people and 4 bags of luggage in with the top down so its really rather pointless.

Lutz's perfect summation of Toyota
Toyota's recent launches haven't exactly been stellar.

How Long Before
I don't think you'll see a significant drop in SUV sales until gas prices reach 5 bucks and a gallon and stay there.

Do Interiors Really Matter That Much?
It matters somewhat...I could give a damn about materials since I uh...never touch them. As long as the design is nice and build quality is good with no rattles then thats fine with me.

"Pontiac, you're hired (again)."
Has to be the G6 vert...or at least the G6. I'd love a GTP vert with 2 tone leather.

VW Jetta TDI
Uh since when are convertibles not niche cars?

econo car
Cobalt. Excellent compromise between power/efficiency Mazda3 would be a good choice but more expensive and the powertrains aren't the best.

Civic Hybrid
That's pretty funny. At least to the civic's credit it did get good gas mileage but I can't argue with most of his other points.

The Redesigned Quest is Put To the Test
The interior is a big improvement...although I still don't like it. Requiring premium fuel is a big no-no though and Nissan should know it.

Yeah! Gas Prices!
and slowly they are conditioning everyone to think that $2.50 a gallon is cheap...when it was at $2.00 a gallon 6 months ago.

Lajdziak Reacts: More on Our Saturn Family
So whats the take rate on V6/sticks these days...less than 5%? The vast majority of the family sedan market simply does not want a stick in their car. It probably should have a 4 cyl/stick combo for those on a budget...but apparently Saturn is aiming for a more upscale crowd and only offering 2 V6's

Edmunds: 2006.5 Kia Optima First Drive
The 2007 G6 is getting more powerful V6's...I think the 3.5L is up to 225 hp now.
