Gen V - Pushrod Engines for the Future
i like the zeta, i just wanted to know if anyone knew off hand how much a genesis was lighter(or heavier than) G8. im aware of the commodore and statesman, (essentially what you said) the mustang is lighter because its on a mustang platform, the camaro isn't badly engineered iknow, its just zeta was all the had to work with. F*** Holdens website is slow.

Gen V - Pushrod Engines for the Future
a faster, better sounding, more fuel efficient mustang is what you get, you don't go shopping for refinement in a mustang. what is the weight difference between a Genesis and a GTO err G8

Gen V - Pushrod Engines for the Future
""I don’t like the rumble of a typical V-8,” explains Ruf. “This engine has a more nervous sound like a racing engine.” That’s because the Ruf V-8 uses a 180-degree flat-plane crankshaft design, like that of the Ferrari V-8 and many racing engines." ~C&D(BMW Monthly) ^^^this was what i was talking about

How big should the next Corvette be?
i beleive the ZO6 should continue with the N/A engine, ijust think it fits in more with the racy idea of it hmm maybe a ZO'7' package on the Z06 with the Supercharged motor and luxury features? the ZO6 should get more racy hardware. then again your probably right GM will likely just replace the Curren ZR1 with the Z06

Gen V - Pushrod Engines for the Future
ive heard that a flat plane crank would change the engine note to more of a whiny high pitch, high rev sound, does this affect the tone by itself?

Gen V - Pushrod Engines for the Future
THE 3800 WAS AN OLD ENGINE, it does not represent the IBC engine configuration, instead it represents an engine left in cars for too long. An engines configuration doesnt change the fact that if it is produced with minimal change for too long it will become behind the times. (NorthStar is yourexample )

How big should the next Corvette be?
i think if chevy wants to go after younger buyers they should lower the price of the corvette, but that would step on the camaro's toes so i don't no but the corvette should be a corvette, not a lotus, or a solstice, it should keep the wide stance, i think the main things i would change would be: ZO6: diet, plus more agressive look, i think its just to round ZR1: more luxury(better interior) Base: fuel economy and price should become cheaper.
