  1. thanks dwight. i couldn't find it last night, but i know i saw a power rating for the 5.3L on e-85, and it was comparable to the 6.0L's power output. maybe it'll pop up again sometime...?
  2. buick encore a few days back.... maybe while i was home in MO ..?
  3. anyone notice the e85 power from the 5.3L in the press releases? pretty much a 6.0L power if not 6.2.
  4. that would be a 3.1L v4... for a 'truck' engine, sure.... but a slant inline would be better, and dwight has proposed something like that, right? i do think a ~200 hp 4 cyl CIB engine would be interesting for a modern s-10 a ~4.7L v6.. lets see how the 4.3L LT derived truck engine is first.
  5. he was warned about being ridden out of town on the rails, but he didn't think they'd send him and the house...
  6. a coworker has done this. he loves it...but still only gets high 8's mpg pulling a triaxle camper behind him. best he's got was ~22 on the interstate.
  7. with laser welding of light assemblies, they can be much more 'artsy' than the 90's vans....
  8. happy belated!!
  9. we'll see if/how the 8speeds do for these vehicles
  10. the power gains aren't to be scoffed at. and wouldn't this be a great replacement for the 6.0L mated to the hybrids? still want to see the 'extreme' engines... yes, v6 and 6.2L... .. even though straight hp / L makes the 6.2 = 415, which seems kinda low.. and the v6 is 288hp... ~450lbft for the 6.2 ~310lbft for the 4.3... not bad....for a CIB!!! ooohh diss... not really.
  11. i've been collecting mine for pretty much 3 years straight... on my 99 3.1L. i could pass anyone the "excel" file (open document file) ... or just convert it to a .xls before i send it.
  12. Dwight, we are assuming all the lt1's "bells and whistles"? maybe not AFM?
  13. will the ls3 be a 1 year thing? will the lt1 will be vette and "truck" only for 1 year?
  14. camaro zl1 while driving home tonight, down i57. black, of course.
  15. *we can't meet our own expectations*.... "hey guys we did it, we're on the right track!" same lame expectations and consequences essentially produced by coercion.
  16. no one? the dodge fanatics will be. of course the budget for one of these maybe 2x a corvette and only 1.1 to 1.2x better.

DFelt, hit a nail in this argument. "End result would be if we could just dump the Political Correctness and not bother with skin color." the last girl i dated is black. we're still friends, told me. ...you know i'm not racist, BUT i've always pictured myself with a black man. freedom of association that will never be called racism (out loud), but if you go by PC language, totally is.

i think this should be easy to answer, and not controversial, but maybe i'll be surprised. if you only want to end up with someone of your own "race" --being marriage or the closest thing to it. is that racism? one could date outside of their "race" but not look for it to last, or want it to. i can share my own view after some answers.
