The 3.6 is supposed to get direct injection. I think its supposed to be 305-310hp. 300 in the Aura would be nice. A light pressure turbo would make about 330hp, since the 2.8 turbo makes 255hp, without direct injection.
  2. While we are at it, lets throw in the LS7, make all the body panels out of carbon fiber, aluminum frame, and everything else that was listed previously. Since after all it costs less than $20,000, and every other manufacturer has everything listed on their car for that price dont they? Ok, now back to reality, this is 9/10s a Corvette for less than half the price. Just let me get in and drive the thing.

My favorites are, GMC Typhoon, Trailblazer SS, 94-96 2 door Tahoes, and current model Denalis, Tahoes, and Escalades. But, given the choice, a nice coupe or 2 seater would always come first.

Does anybody else like watching to see the types of cars people drive? I noticed a lot of hot girls drive VWs. I'm always looking to see whos driving what.

I havent heard of any of them :P But I'm sure you havent heard of alot of the stuff I listen to either.
  6. I agree with it. I'm all for capitalism, and free trade, but I dont think being part of a countries economy for the past 100 years should actually put them at a disadvantage. Japanese companies are actually subsidized by the yen manipulation, so why cant our government restore fair trade? If the Japanese companies are so good, and only the strongest survive, then why the yen manipulation, and why tax our vehicles in Japan? Helping our companies would actually promote competition, because the Japanese companies can actually get lazy, and still not have to ever worry about profits. The only thing this would do is restore the balance. But I'm sure the media will spin it another way.

But Buicks image has never been anywhere near Cadillacs. Buick will have a much harder time restoring their image than it would be for Cadillac. Cadillac at one time, was standard of the world, and they are working back up to that. Buick at its greatest was still a few notches below that. And it took $4 billion to get Cadillac to where it is now, it would take at least that much for Buick. I like the idea, but I dont think it would be as easy as you say.

I like that idea alot. But I dont think the Buick name, and image is anywhere close to where it needs to be to pull that off. And thats too bad, because that could give Cadillac some freedom. They wouldn't need to keep the aged DTS to appeal to the traditional buyers, because they could move it over to Buick.
  9. Do you make comments like that just to aggrevate people? Seems like you do. Stop assuming anyone who isn't old doesn't know anything. I'm sure his beliefs have nothing to do with his age, mine don't have anything to do with my age either. Are you relying on SSI yet?

Is it fair for our cars to be taxed there? We only need a tax to make things fair. Then, when they decide they will play fair, we can drop our tax as well.

That would get my vote, for a tie with, My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard. I cant stand those 2 songs.
  12. I was thinking the same thing. I dont know how true it is though. But could GM be selling whatever it can to be preparing for a strike in 07? I'd like to know an insiders thoughts on this. Are we way off here?

Then the CTS price either needs to go up to make room for a car under the CTS, or the CTS needs to shrink in size to fit in the class it is priced in.

I've had 5 cars in 4 1/2 years, none new though. If you want to go off family, my dad has owned at least 100 cars in 30 years.

Well CR can do it with reliability. Why cant we with style? The last 2 were boring, so the next one will be too.

Hey, I own that CD, and I dont own a Camry. I didnt read the list though, because I could care less who they think are good. I buy what I like, I dont need to be told what someone else likes.

That still doesnt make it fair

Well, "Fiddy-Cent" did sell the most albums in one week since the Beetles......

This confirms it, Toyota customers are stupid. :P
  21. Unless those controlling owners also have a substantial interest in GM.......
  22. I havent calculated lately, but the readout on my 98 Grand Prix GTP is showing 24.5mpg with about 45% city driving, more if you count freeway driving as city during rush hour. My Moms 04 Malibu V6 readout is showing 28mpg combined, with about 55% city driving.
  23. The Malibu got all 5s for the crash tests, and is much cheaper than the Camry. Its not as sporty as the Mazda 6, but its not as mushy as the Camry. It could use a better interior though.
  24. Who is to say what is class leading anyway? Different people have different preferences. Is the Camry class leading because it sells the most? Is the Passat class leading because it has the best interior? The Mazda 6 because it drives the best? G6 because it looks the best? GMs problem is that their cars dont fit their brand identities.
  25. Maybe it could be used in the GMT-900 hybrids, since the electric engine could supply some power to open the valves.
