  1. Exactly, 14+ inches taller and a half inch higher off the ground, that's A LOT higher center of gravity than a Chevy SS sedan. There's a zero percent chance that if these are driven back to back there will be no noticeable difference.
  2. My reason for wanting to sit higher has nothing to do with safety or visibility, it's the ingress and egress of getting in and out of something where the seat height is almost identical to "my seat height" (lol).
  3. They're nowhere near as bad as enthusiasts make them out to be. Yes, you can get a really bland and super appliance grade crossover, but there are plenty that aren't that grade out there.
  4. Hahaha, i just took a screenshot from the NHL's website. Yeah, game 1 doesn't make the series but it's nice to jump out to a lead. Boston had just struggled with Carolina all year.
  5. Didn't these have the 2.0T as an option? If so, that'd be a fun little sleeper car. Just looked it up, Yes, it can be had with the 2.0T but also a MANUAL TRANSMISSION!
  6. Well, we knew it was coming but I don't know if we thought it would be quite so soon. I'm not in the market for something like this but it's still pretty exciting.

EXACTLY what I was thinking! I couldn't imagine the concentration level, skills, and experience needed to accomplish any of those.

    Those are some skilled pilots!
  9. Funny enough, the thumbnail they used on my phone was an F1 car and a windmill. I'm not sure if you watched the video or not, but it's actually neat to see where else F1 technology has been utilized.
  10. Even if it isn't the turbo-4 and it's the 5.3, that's still only 355hp/383tq. I guess I never really realized until now that they are all down a little on power/torque. I still think the plug-in hybrid would be a great way to get people into electric vehicles, but I'm not the one in charge of these decisions hahaha.
  11. Some or more of you may hate Donut but this was pretty interesting to see some unconventional places F1 technology has spread to. David will definitely hate it because they talk about Mercedes technological advancements, hahaha.
  12. Sorry, you mentioned Hybrid which is significantly more powerful at 438hp/583tq. I am a little surprised GM hasn't hybridized their truck engines at all yet.
  13. Tundra: 389hp/479tq GM 6.2: 420hp/460tq What "big power advantage" do you speak of?

Something about this piqued my interest and I want one. Okay, I don't have a spare 1.15M+ sitting around nor the schooling and hours to fly one even if I did have the cash but this certainly has me interested. I'm not 100% sure why, but it really does. I think I looked at it and thought, "damn, "that's a pretty lookin' plane.", then thought how a 7-seater would also be relatively "practical". It's pretty, it's "practical" I LIKE IT!
  15. 1-2 MPG is a pretty large percent when the vehicles were getting 17mpg or so, at the time, highway mileage. It was likely all pushed by EPA regulations. "According to EPA test drives, the technology effectively improves fuel economy by 6 to 8 percent." https://www.autobytel.com/car-ownership/active-fuel-management-general-motors-104039/#:~:text=The technology made its debut, allowed for more reliable performance.
  16. There is a zero percent chance this frame is as rigid as it was prior to holes being put in it. I'm not saying there aren't ways around making more interior space (although I think the hump in SUVs is grossly overblown) but this is not one of them. Where's the GIF of the Tundra dancing over bumps?
  17. You're very open about not liking anything from Europe. I'm not sure how that's even an assumption.
  18. Yeah, I can't remember a time when it got in the way. Anybody who's regularly seating 3 wide in the middle row likely had a 3-row SUV and is then not utilizing the middle seat anyway and, if they are, it's for a child or very occasional adult. I could see utilizing it more in a truck where the whole back seat folds up and there's a large open area on the floor, for things I didn't want in the bed. That could be a hinderance if there was a hump all along the middle.
  19. Personally, I don't really care about a 2-3 inch hump for whatever needs to go through there. It impedes next to nothing on a regular basis. A 6 inch bump? That would be bothersome more regularly. I don't even know if my MKC or Escape had one. I'll have to look for pictures online, they probably do.
  20. Thank you for the useful input. His intent is obvious in every thread.
  21. That wasn't what I meant by that. I was just saying he would be okay with it in an Avalanche or anything from GM, but that same size hump he would complain about in anything from Europe. Funny enough, looking at weathertech for good pictures, it looks like the older GL-Class had less of a hump than the newer GLS. Not by a ton, but it looks lower from their pictures. But also, looking at all three of them X7, Q7, and GLS, they all have a little hump in the middle of the 2nd row.
  22. Well, David would if the same exact hump were in anything from Europe.
  23. Thanks, I definitely looked at pictures of everything before commenting but they certainly did not look like those.
