Toyota recalls 367,600 SUVs to fix flawed clip
This is rediculous.

2007 GMC Acadia - Images
The interior is amazing. That leather color is beautiful. The IP is kind of boring, though. The Lambda platform is really turning them out. I love it. The exterior is alright. It looks a little too much like the Outlook for my tastes but the rims and quad exhaust are hot. Edit: Acadia should be AWD-only.

nother rendering - toyota sequoia
Wait... One minute Toyota is too boring, too bland and the next minute Toyota is too "look-at-me?" You guys really have to make up your mind. The first photo is a really bad chop but the proposed vehicle in the second photo looks pretty good, IMO. The Tahoe is really tough to beat and instead of a handsome conservative design, Toyota may be going for a more bold design to stand apart. I have no problem with it.

Toyota turns off airbag cutoff switch in Tundra
IMO, this is not as bad as the Camry or Avalon recalls. Hell, it's not even as bad as the cost cutting measures on GM trucks (liftgate cables, ABS brakes). Hell, GM refuses to recall every GM truck with the ABS problem, just the trucks purchased in "snowy" climates. Stupid decision? Definately. Worth killing yourself over? No. BTW, what did people do before the LATCH system was created and mandated? I know my parents did not have a problem with securing my carseat properly in the rear seat.

Japan Mulls Legality of N. Korea Strike
It is not just the current administration, it has been every administration since the Korean War unofficially ended (technically, we are still at war). Previous administrations (minus Clinton and Bush 41) supported Japan and SK from the Commie threat posed by NK, China and Russia, plus the fall of countries in SE Asia to Communism. Democracy had to be present in that part of the world somehow. After they were nuked, Japan completely renounced war. They barely have the ability to carry out a preemptive strike on NK let alone actively go to war with NK and fight on Korean soil. The Japanese Self-Defense Forces are well equipped to defend the homeland, not fight overseas. I suspect that will be changing in the near future, especially in light of Japan's problems with China and NK. It took a long time for Japan to organize and properly equip military and police forces so they signed a defense agreement with the U.S. That agreement covered external and internal threats. U.S. servicemen and women were actually used as a police force in Japan until the country could be rebuilt and demilitarized then somewhat remilitarized. Only the external threat part of that agreement exists now, I believe. I have noticed many young South Koreans have an anti-U.S. attitude but middle-aged and older citizens are very thankful. The U.S. is pulling the majority of its troops out of South Korea, however. All it takes is a few NK missiles or tank shells and that attitude would be wiped away fairly quickly, though. Perhaps that is what needs to happen? Like it has been mentioned before, NK has nuclear warheads but they do not have a proper delivery system (missile) for them. Iran, on the other hand, has a proper delivery system but does not have warheads. Both would not think twice about giving these weapons to Islamofacists, which have added another battlefield to their already long list: Mumbai, India. I would not put it past either to use them, as well. That is why neither can obtain the appropriate technology.

Mitsu Lancer...
Not bad, not bad.

Japan Mulls Legality of N. Korea Strike
I fear NK giving its missile and nuclear technology to the Islamofacists. World War IV would become so bad even liberals would have to admit we are fighting for our lives. Sorry, just a joke. Sort of. I would not put it past the NK leader to use the technology himself.

Toyota turns off airbag cutoff switch in Tundra
I think I am missing something. I know the trucks do not have the LATCH system and there is no excuse for it, they should. However, if there is an actual airbag cutoff switch and not just a sensor in the seat that automatically turns off/on the airbag, what's the difference between permanently disabling the switch and allowing the switch to be turned off normally when a small child is in the seat (which any parent with a brain could and would do)? Also, is this disabling the airbag or just the switch? If the switch is disabled, the airbag is still going to go off in an accident. Something does not add up. IMO, if you have a regular cab truck and drive around a small child you're an idiot, airbag deactivation and LATCH system in place or not.

About the whole head butt thing: Apparently, the Italian guy called the French dude a "dirty terrorist." He is of Algerian descent.

BANDS / ARTISTS that you might be
Madonna's new stuff is pretty good. I have the album and you can really get down to most of the songs. Edit: Kelly Clarkson's "Breakaway" album is very well done. Her first album was forgettable but she was tied down creatively. I'm going to see her concert next Tuesday. Rihanna is pretty good, too. "SOS" and "Unfaithful" are great songs. She is one of those people who are not overly good looking. It depends on the picture, IMO. Sometimes she looks good (Unfaithful video) and other times she doesn't (MTV Movie Awards red carpet host).

BANDS / ARTISTS that you might be
Peter Cetera/Chicago are pretty good, Reg. The Spice Girls are probably #1 on my list with Backstreet Boys in second. The Girls cheer me up with their little songs and seeing/hearing Baby Spice cheers me up, too. Really, though, I don't care. I'll listen to everything other than heavy metal, really punk-ish stuff and most rap.
