442 Road Test
I would just love an Olds of this generation, mustang84. A ragtop would be just awesome, as well as a Vista Cruiser... Chris

Real World G6 Fuel Economy
So in mostly rural driving with a light foot, 25 mpg wouldn't be unexpected? Chris

next Cobalt?
Actually the Chasis of the Cobalt is just fabulous IMHO. The car handles very, very well in some ways. It's not a bad looking car either. I'd buy one before I'd buy a Focus... Chris

Business Week: Which Auto Brands Should Go?
I'd second the Saab and Hummer thing, HUmmer will be a drag on cash if oil prices stay high. Chris

GM Reports 260,922 Deliveries in April
If oil does drop to $80 a barrel, it will only be for a short time. Chris

Well, I've Found a Car
Presently, I'm getting about 33-35 City in my Scion xB... But that G5 looks great, I'd go for it.. Chris

08 ACCORD EX test drive
I wish that I could convince myself that the Accord was sharp...I love Honda engeneering, and the one Accord I did own ran for 225k of trouble free 35 m.p.g. miles. Your love of Honda is not unfounded...I just can't personally marry the present accord for 60 payments of $459 to put it in my driveway. Chris

UAW Local 31 goes on strike against the Malibu and Aura at the Fairfax plant
It isn't that easy...these people can't be replaced overnight and they know it. This is one of the reasons that I bought a Toyota for my last new car purchase. I can't stomach the thought of my money going to UAW workers. Chris

It's 1973 all over again
...ah yes, a RWD GM car with v8 power in every other driveway... Damned glad I grew up when I did. Chris

08 ACCORD EX test drive
Hey, my whole family (mother, mother in law, father in law, father, sister, brother in law, other brother in law, etc.) has owned at least one Honda product as a daily driver and loved it. My whole family thinks this thing is UGLY. Not that we are the sole arbiters of good taste...but this thing has far from unanimous approval on its styling. Chris

08 ACCORD EX test drive
The Jetta I really could live with but the Accord and Camry...UGLY IMHO. I don't think the buyers of Camry's are just ignorant and sheep, but I do think they buy a car as an appliance more than on appearance. Chris

If it is American made, I may ahve to buy one for the Mrs. Chris

April 2008 Sales: Ford Motor Company
The economy sucks, and will continue to do so for at least 4 or 5 years, if not longer. The new Fiesta can't get here from Europe fast enough for Ford Chris

April 2008 Sales: Chrysler LLC
The Charger is a really nice product. We are doing a lot of work lately for a client who uses them as fleet vehicles, so I have been seeing a bunch of them up close. Sweet cars! Maybe with your graduation you can upgrade the Intrepid? (((Chris imagines DF and Jessichan in a bright metallic Blue SRT-8 Charger, womewhere OTHER than Mass.))) Chris

April 2008 Sales: Mitsubishi Motors
We need to provide vasectomies for all of the guys who work in the Mitsu styling department, lest they reproduce and we have a new generation of people styling cars this ugly. Chris

April 2008 Sales: Mitsubishi Motors

April 2008 Sales: BMW Group
It would be a cool partnership...but I think Oldsmoboi wouldn't be happy about it. Chris

April 2008 Sales: BMW Group
BMW...there BAAACK. I haven't been as excited about a BMW since the E-30 M3 of the 1980's... The one series is just awesome. First the Volvo C-30 and now this. Europe is building some great small cars! Chris

April 2008 Sales: BMW Group
I think this is going to be our next car perhaps...I just LOVE this car in the same sort of way that I love old GM muscle cars... Chris

GM Reports 260,922 Deliveries in April
I just loved the Astra when it came out, but I seem to be one of 7 people in North America who feel that way. At our local Saturn store, I took Joel, my son in to look because I was thinking of buying one. The sales lady indicated that they have been getting very poor feedback on the car here in the Columbus market, and far fewer people seem to be sold during a test drive than any other Saturn product. I thought my wife would love the Astra, but she found the interior dark, the shifting to be much worse than our (previous) Miata, and the controls awkward...and the car we test drove was test driven at our local Toyota dealership because the previous owner had traded the Astra in on a Scion TC after a mere 288 miles. Previous owner just HATED the car. Everyone I talk to that has sat in one/looked at one/driven one seems unimpressed. Seems strange to me, as the Astra seems like a great small car...but sadly I won't be buying one for the Mrs. Chris

You know that there is a gas crunch when my mothers Aveo is getting the kind of stares, turned heads, and thumbs up that my 70 Chevelle used to get...and I'm not kidding. More people come up to her and say nice things about her car/ask her about her car/make positive comments about her car than you can shake a stick at... The Aveo is a decent product, but GM needs a car in this bracket that is class leading. Chris
