  1. Actually, everything was off in July from furniture to real estate from what I can tell. Still, the TURD is doing poorly for a "new truck" Chris
  2. Actually I've known crapaliers to do better than that. My friend Matt Drove his like an absolute ASS from hell and got over 30 once in awhile. Chris
  3. Chevrolet-Cobalt SS Supercharged (or turbocharged if they build it) HHR Pontiac-Solstice Saturn- Sky RL Cadillac-CTS, CTS-V Thats about all folks. Maybe the Astra. Chris
  4. Great point. Actually I would not trust a Chinese made gun not to blow up in my hand. Chris
  5. Dodgefan, the fuel economy you are getting is horrible! My Scion xB is getting 35.5-36 m.p.g. right now, and my 86 Cavalier got over 40 on the highway. Sixty-Eight must have dropped a V-16 in that thing when you weren't looking... Or Flybrian dropped in the 455 from the Lesabre. Chris
  6. ...even by 1956 Standards the Caliber is cheap. Probably one of the worst small vehicles on the road today. Chris
  7. Exactly. I have seen very little advert. support for the HHR, which is sad because it is a neat little vehicle. Chris
  8. Ditto on the green thing, although Sante Fe N.M. would be a cool place to live. Salt lake City Utah would be cool also but as an atheist/agnostic I doubt I would fit in with the Mormons. Chris
  9. Notice the Civic and the Fit doing well. People seem to be responding to the price of Gas. Chris
  10. You are I believe correct sir. Chris
  11. ...also, does anyone know if Cobalt sales dropped? Chris
  12. Son of a friend was given a nice clean older Bonneville SSE as a high school graduation gift. Only problem was the headliner was loose and he was told he would have to fix it. So the kid gets an air powered staple gun and staples the headliner back in place. ....And then gets out to notice what has happened to the roof of the car. At least his mother is footing the bill to fix the thing. Chris
  13. Anyone here got any cool links on Olds Vista Cruisers? I've always loved these. Chris
  14. I have a honda friend/import humper that just loves to point out that the IRL hasn't lost any motors to failure during racing during the last 12 or so IRL races. He then points out how bad the Aurora motors were when they were used in the IRL. Does anyone have actual failure rate info for the Aurora motor used in Indy car racing? Chris
  15. The lack of a manual shift is one reason I won't buy an SUV. I think that the Element and the Wrangler are the only two SUV's with manual shift option available. Chris
  16. Whatever the case may be this has got to be one of the best automotive boards on the net. Wish I personally could do something to help promote this thing. Also wish I had been around to get to know some of the people you all are talking about. Chris
  17. Carbiz, what is car heaven? Do you guys crush 1995 and older cars for pollution credits in Canada? Also, WTF?? $300 a MONTH for car insurance? Granted I have a clean record and so forth but I am paying $50 a month for full coverage Zero deductable comprehensive/ 250 Collision/ towing/rental/everything else under the sun for a 2005 car here in Colubus Ohio. Why in God's name would insurance cost me $250 more a MONTH in Toronto? Sorry about your sunburn, I agree pretty much with your response. Really think that if GM could make the G5/Cobalt replacement a true class leader like the Mazda 3 it would really help... Hoping they keep production at Lordstown also after 2009... Chris
  18. The Cobalt interior is damned good for what it is. Like I said in another part of the Forum, my wife likes the Cobalt SS inside better than the MINI Cooper S. That being said, the TSX is a brilliant car. Chris
  19. The E-85 would be huge, as would a more economical choice on powertrain. Chris
  20. This reminds me of when my wife was rear ended in our Safari van by a semi. Insurance paid for the substantial repairs and were very happy just getting the thing settled. Good luck, my friend. Let us know how it comes out. Chris
