  1. Here is the question. Is the Cobalt up to standing door handle to door handle, wheel to wheel with the Mazda 3 and the Civic? We keep talking about price and buy American, but this really is using cost and fear to possibly cover up the fact that the Cobalt is not all it should be. I love the Cobalt and think GM did a great job with updating over the Cavalier. However, I also think that we need an even better small car for GM to compete in this time of $3.29 gas and student loans that take twenty years to pay off. So here goes...this is to be a serious discussion. 1. Where does the Cobalt have it over its competition? and 2. Where should GM best use its creative efforts with the next refresh? Chris
  2. Honestly I think it needs to go to about $5.00 to $6.00 per gallon so we start to conserve and develop other sources of fuel. But I am in a minority of one. Chris
  3. There is only so much of a market for Hybrids, and the main point of driving one is in making a political statement. Kind of hard to make a statement about the environment driving a full sized Lexus. Chris
  4. I want one...badly. Chris
  5. Given the quality of what they build...good riddance. Chris
  6. This isn't funny, in a way. You can't buy anything American anymore at all, much less Union made. Chris
  7. I work in the construction industry. No one, and I mean no one who uses a truck for work uses a new toy Tundra. They are a laughingstock on every construction site I am on...even the Titan guys laugh at it. Chris
  8. Thanks for posting those! Chris
  9. A rabit trail to the thread, but.... The guy the maid of honor at our wedding married is named Willis MacCracken Overton, and he is the IV. Imagine her horror when due to family tradition she had to pass that name onto her son. He's a great guy, just has a strange name. Chris
  10. Sorry to swear but....Oh, $h!. Chris
  11. Our largest Toyota dealer just bought our oldest Cadillac dealership. They proceeded to close it down and lay everyone off after the place has been there since about 1927. Sadly, the cool art Deco building it was housed in does not have historical status and is scheduled to be bulldozed for redevelopment. Chris
  12. Hell, I don't like automatics or full sized cars and even I am in absolute ungodly lust over the Lucerne. It is a sweet car. Chris
  13. Move to Central Ohio. I've only seen one of the new Tundras on the road since they came out...1. Domestics do pretty well here. Chris
  14. Cool. That will be a sweet car when you are done with it, I am glad that you kept it. Chris
  15. Ouch, that is ugly. Chris
  16. You might consider stripping the quarter with aircraft grade paint stripper and then paying someone with a booth to spray DP-40 or some other epoxy type of primer. You don't want to rely on 44 year old paint anywhere where you repaint, and you don't want anything other than a top grade primer. It will be worth it in the long run. Good luck, Chris

  18. Looks like the Civic, CRV, and Fit are on fire sales wise. Chris
  19. Tough month, but it looks like things are headed in the right direction with the Crossovers and the Aura. Still... Chris
  20. I'd like to shoot whoever designed the outside of the new WRX. Chris
  21. ...and the TC is built on a sedan chasis, it is not a performance car. Chris
  22. Not sure if it is the answer you are looking for but I think automatic Miatas come with a 4 speed auto. Chris
  23. Thanks guys. Chris
