  1. A shame to give this up. It was a brilliant idea and working. Chris
  2. Sweet Color! Chris
  3. Problem with the Fiero is that you have to get the last year of prod. to get the suspension goodies and the V-6. Later Firebirds, the 77-78 was an under-appreciated design. Chris
  4. I love, love love the old stuff but I was born in 65. I've been literally looking at the old stuff my whole life. Just really excited that Pontiac seems to be on the right track. In major lust over a red 69 Firebird that is parked regularly where my wife works, so don't worry, I haven't loost my mind. Chris
  5. The C-4 is an under rated car, though. A pain in the arse to get into and out of, but a sweet ride none the less. Chris
  6. Ouch! We had a tornado touch down during a Mustang show once but nothing like this happened. Chris
  7. I agree with sixty eight, would look good on a street rod. Kind of reminds me of Ford's Grabber Blue from 1970 (think Boss 302). But it does not look good on the Cobalt. Chris
  8. Yes, Humvee...we need pics! Chris
  9. Why am I such a dumbass? (I know plenty of you have probably asked that question, but...) I must be because I think the Solstice is probably one of the best looking cars of the 21st century and probably one of the best looking cars from Pontiac ever. I must just be missing something here, but I seem to be the only one posting here who just loves the Solstice. Somebody please tell me what I am missing. Chris
  10. Or a Mazda 3 for that matter. Chris
  11. The important thing to me-around here guys on construction sites and farms still laugh their ass off at the Tundra. Chris
  12. ...and Sixty Eight, you'd really buy a BENZ? I've known so many of those cars to have problems...and I'd rather crush and Audi than drive one. I probably hate a lot of European cars as badly as you hate Japanese cars. Maybe we can just agree to hate Korean cars and agree on that. I am with you on the BMW thing though. Were it to be a non-GM car, my choice would be a New Cooper S coup with a six speed and a sunroof delete. If it were not a Miata. Chris
  13. It would be a Solstice GXP. Seriously. Chris
  14. The problem is that there is no good objective journalism out there when it comes to evaluating vehicles. I trust Grassroots Motorsports somewhat as well as Road and Track to an extent, but the rest of those arch idiots...no. Chris
  15. Actually I would prefer blue, white or black to red. But it is sharp in red. Chris
  16. ...always and forever on the jack up the price thing... Chris
  17. Must be the newest Scion xB that also made the list as the previous gen didn't have side air bags. Looking forward to the Astra doing big things here in the states. Chris
  18. Actually the Bonnie and the Olds ought to be pretty good on the highway. Chris
  19. Exactly. Which is where it needs to be priced for a premium small car. With a few grand down and good credit it is only about 300 per mo in payment. Chris
  20. The focus does have its share of problems, but the SVT of a few years ago was kind of a cool car. The Astra is a nice car. I will look at one seriously next year when it is time to replace my wife's car. Hopefully your right and it is a sales success. Chris
  21. Every so often a really honest person running for office comes out...and then gets 10% of the vote. Somebody please tell me why we are in Iraq. Chris
  22. I can relate on the lost American heritage part... Chris
  23. Surely an aurora has rolled more miles than that. I've seen tons of cars make it to 300,000 and a bunch make it to 400,000. I've seen a dodge van make it to 600,000 a Chevy Blazer (s-10 4wd) make it to 600,000 plus, a ford Truck make it to 785,000, another ford truck make it a Million...all without rebuilds. I am a construction worker and we usually buy older beat up cars to drive to work because we park them on jobsites. GM products with 300k plus are as common as teenaged girls at shopping malls. Chris
