The Lincoln comment is pure nonsense.

Just a bad wire
Some pics during the process. I did both hinge pins, bushings, spring, the roller pin, and the door striker on both sides. Well, I still have to do the striker on the passenger side - but you get the picture. Sorry these aren't a complete illustration, I was pushing to get the job done. I will post some finish pics as I go through the rest of my list.

Well, the hinges of both doors are now rebuilt - huge pain in the ass. Pics later.

JANUARY 2013 CAR SPOTTERS THREAD!!!
I regret not getting a pic of the one I saw - it was like looking into the past.

JANUARY 2013 CAR SPOTTERS THREAD!!!
Just saw an early Plymouth Duster ('70/'71) in that ubiquitous olive-drab metallic Mopar used back then. Car was bone stock and clean - right down to the body color steelies and cop caps. Probably a slant six car. Young guy driving it.

That's one reason the grey looks so good on it, you can see the detail.

Something a bit more like this would have made me happier for the C5-C7 rear. http://carrolodex.files.wordpress.com/2013/01/aston_martin-one-77_rear.jpg?w=490&h=367

Detroit Auto Show: 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray: Comments
Been thinking about the rear of the car. For me, it isn't the tail lights, or even the vents. Even though the black area seems both too high, and too big (especially for a color like red), it isn't that either. It's the overall height, and the basic shape (especially when seen from the side). That curve from top to tire. I'm sure there is a very good reason for it (likely aerodynamic). But I hate it. It kills the front to back flow of the car. I despised it on the C5s great big ass, still hated it on the C6, and don't like it now. The good news is that the C6 rear looked better than the C5, and I think this looks better than the C6 as far as that overall shape goes.

Nicely true to concept.

Who's Responsible For Setting Interior Design Guidelines?
I prefer the single stalk as well: easy, intuitive, familiar. I can do all I want to do without a look. Sure, I could get used to another layout, but I have no problem with the single stalk - and the column doesn't look like a porcupine.

Detroit Auto Show: Livestream of the C7 Launch: Comments
Camino LS6 replied to William Maley's post in a topic in North American International Auto Show in Detroit (NAIAS)Drew also posted a pic with the rear open - the car is a hatchback! You'll have to see it, it's very different. Really makes me wonder what the convertible will look like.
