  2. I disagree entirely about Pontiac not being the right brand to go after BMW. In 2006, that should be Pontiac's main mission. If the marketing boobs had compared the car to a 3 series instead of the Mustang I think the story would have been very different. Put an M3 side by side with a GTO and tell me just one reason to pay an M3 price when you can buy a GTO and get such amazing quality and performance for thousands less. If Pontiac can't give the customer BMW level performance and quality at a huge discount the brand may as well fold.
  3. One more pic before I start the day. These are the signatures my car was delivered to me with. I was wrong about when Ed Hamburger signed the car(he signed my dad's car that day). Jeff Yachnin,Dave Hamburger, and Scott Settlemire signed it at events after I got it.

Here's a sad commentary: I haven't even noticed the ads- at all.
  5. Love mine. Fairly certain it will be back-soon. Don't give a crap what other people think of my car - they haven't driven one. Great article. end of report.
  6. Shot with a regular camera and digitized by Kodak when I had the film developed.
  7. I don't think they like you much. :AH-HA_wink:
  8. Getting ready for our police-escorted cruise at the '04 Hawk Rally.
  9. THAT, is a long story.
  10. cool stuff! Reliable would be familiar to you, I suppose. One cool thing about Reliable and my car, they shipped it to SLP in the Buick Blackhawk trailer with the Blackhawk!
  11. And here it is at the Hawk Rally in '04 with the magazine cover taped to the window.
  12. This is what it looked like then.
  13. No, SLP only built 6 prototypes in '98 and no production 'Hawks that year. My dad's car was the last one SLP still had and we got it from them(it was titled to SLP). This car was a magazine test car, durability test car, and photoshoot car. Many of the pics of the '98 Firehawks on the web are this exact car when it still had the prototype headlights.
  14. And the day my Dad's '98 Hawk arrived - that's me behind the wheel.
  15. I may not have a scanner yet, but I just found a ton of my Firehawk pics. I'll start you off with my favorite: Pic is my Hawk coming off the transporter about a minute before I had the keys in my hand for the first time.
  16. :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:
  17. Camino is planning some upgrades. :AH-HA_wink: In order to be ready to sell my toys, I am planning to upgrade things a bit. Broadband of some kind is on the list as is a scanner. Look out when I get my mits on the scanner- I'm going to post so many pics of my old rides you'll think I was 68!
  18. Welcome and glad to have you in this vital role.
  19. Monaro. And yes, that's the main reason but not the whole story.
  20. The moment that the original Zeta program was cancelled, a minimum of a one-year gap in GTO production was unavoidable. Holden has to do the changeover to its new VE platform (Zeta) and GMNA had to go back and create Zeta-lite for us. There was simply no way to get a new GTO into production in time for the 07 model year.
  21. we are repeating
  22. Karmen Ghia - yes I know I spelled it wrong
