Hunting as a sport
I think hunting is a fine thing- just not for me. I did it when I was a kid and soon got tired of freezing my butt off for nothing. With the nasty overpopulation of deer and Canada geese I am an advocate of open season on these two species. It is so bad here that in my county (Chester County PA) we have the greatest incedence of Lyme Disease in the nation. People are killed regularly in deer/car collisions and the environmental damage to our understory plants is ruining the eco-system. Meanwhile the no longer migrating Canada Geese are literally poisoning the local bodies of water with their waste. Hunting won't reduce the populations enough, but it is all we have at the moment until laws are changed. These two species are public health hazzards.

Interesting thought about the Camaro
WS6, Firehawk, and SS scoops were all functional, as were the heat extractors on Firehawk hoods.

Limited recall riles GM owners
This must be a 1500 series problem- I have never had it happen in the 2500 and 3500 trucks I have driven often (2001-2005 model years). I did have an '88 1500 shortbed with awful breaks ( mushy pedal, long stopping distances). But my 1990 3500 had no troubles.

GIMME BACK MY BULLETS!
The simple fact is that they don't perform as advertised - that's enough in my book not to buy. Many will never make up the cost differential through fuel savings vs. the standard version of the same car - that's more than enough not to buy. This technology is still experimental and in its infancy - again enough reason not to buy. Hybrids are not the answer. Diversification of fuel sources is. What is needed is the infrastructure to make the increased use of ethanol, propane, natural gas, hydrogen, etc. available for existing internal combustion technology while research into fuel cells and hybrids continues. Pinning our hopes on ANY single source is just foolishness.

Another bummer
I had no idea that I had set myself up for trouble until I read this: http://leerburg.com/2dogs.htm I spent about 4 hours reading that site the night before last and it seems pretty clear that raising two pups from the same litter causes the problem I'm having. Individually, both pups are progressing well, but together for a even a short time they start to growl and posture and if not separated they will fight.

Another bummer
Yeah, can't seem to catch a break.

Another bummer
I'm going to have to give up one of my Malamute pups. They have started to fight and draw blood on each other. I did some research online last night and it seems that they aren't likely to get over it - ever. It can be controlled with intensive training and forced separation but they could never be trusted without supervision. That wouldn't be fair to them or to me. So, with great sadness, I'm going to have to choose between them. Anyone else feel like their life is 100% ?

Riders on the storm
The Silverado is ready to go- not so sure about myself. Time to eat and take a nap. I'll be heading out once it gets to 2 inches and be out until it's all over.

Thanks for the kind words about the Firehawk. No minivans for me - ever. Don't really like the TB/Envoy/Rainier The back of the Magnum is way too small for my dogs. I actually like it, but it won't work.

The Help Camino Thread
In the Spring these will be at their cheapest, I always have my eye out for one with low miles and barn doors in back. Whatever I get will be cheap so I can be ready for a bigger purchase when the time comes. :AH-HA_wink: B-body wagons go pretty cheap, but finding a low mileage example without the nasty woodgrain sides is kinda tough. A fine old Chevelle wagon would probably make me happiest.

Fresh load of Camaro Pics at Autodeadline
You know, except for the overdose of shiny I really like the interior. Tone down the large areas of chrome/brightwork to just edges making the larger areas black and it would really look sharp. The seats look fantastic, a nice update of "strato-buckets".

A B-body wagon is something I am seriously considering, along with a 2-door Tahoe, a Chevelle wagon and other classic wagons. And Z, my pups aren't that big ... yet.
