  1. Atlantic City has a Cafe 2825... I'm curious if it will still be here in 814 years. I'm curious if Atlantic City will be here in 814 years. Ah yes, CAFE, the solution to all. The government might as well start a CAFE for Humans, as government mandated thin people are needed for the tiny CAFE cars the government wants us to settle for. You are not allowed to emit more than .003 lbs/mi of carbon dioxide.
  2. I would have expected the 70 F-bodies to be more expensive (not a lot of those) But good GOD the '70 Ram Air 4 and the '73 455SD are to die for. And so are the '69 TA and the GTO (but it's a '66, brother ). Lovelovelovelovelove them.
  3. I would, but now you'd be expecting it... EXCITEMENT!!!

  5. A prototype of each concept car I've ever made and my own private, Nurburgring-rivalling racetrack to drive them on...
  6. Haven't seen those. Who makes them, Jada?
  7. had a good day yesterday. white ZR1, Buick Regal T-Type (driven by a complete and utter douche), Ferrari 360 CS (!!), '69 Chevy Malibu, mid-70's AMC Hornet. I thumbs-upped the Corvette and Ferrari, the Vette driver waved back, and the Fezza driver pointed back and smiled.
  8. Good Luck, Cort! We'll be waitin' for ya!
  9. it's like reading an expeditionist's diary. "Day 374-- Still no power again. I've begun to completely forget what a lit light bulb looks like. The feel of central heating. The satisfaction of a cooked meal. All distant, blurry memories to me anymore. One wonders when this madness will ever end, though I must confess, I've begun to lose hope that it ever will..."
  10. I only wished that proportion came out in the automotive writing I frequently read. Sloppiness has been a running hallmark of far too much in publication. I only wish that proportion was evident in just about ANY media. It seems like there's so much variance and spin in any media outlet these days, most notably news and politics, that nobody really knows what the hell's going on. How I long for truth and objectivity.
  11. UGH, stuff like that really burns my ass. I've damn near jumped down some guy's throat because he missed the cart bin and nailed my car instead. I've never seen somebody get in a car and take off so fast.

I haven't seen a Beetle. I've only seen a couple of new Imprezas. One was when I was taking a walk in my neighborhood, but if I street view my neighborhood, It's the same as it was years ago.
  13. seriously? are they like super-valuable now? wow. i don't think i even have it anymore. was probably garage-saled by my folks years ago. but i looked it up on that site; it was the 1992 set. makes sense now that I think about it.
  14. I've never seen a Hess station in my life... and yet when i was a kid, I had a toy Hess trailer with a Porsche race car.
  15. well Fiat does own Ferrari, Alfa and Maserati...
  16. Turbojett replied to balthazar's topic in The Lounge
well, i can see it now. I like the look of the building, and the overall gritty feel of the picture. looks good.
  17. I get this all the time.
  18. tie it down, put it in park, set the parking brake...fail on so many levels... unless it was somehow intentional. then it's almost a win.
  19. Turbojett replied to balthazar's topic in The Lounge
    er...I can't see it...
  20. sounds like fun. gimme a couple post-contest Rolaids, and I'd join you. I'd probably regret it as much as you afterwards, though.
  21. eeew....that sounds expensive...not to mention like it caused a lot of damage. did the axle itself break, or was it on one of the bearings?
