  1. hahaha great, now I'll have that stuck in my head every time I see it.
  2. hmmm...I'd have liked to see them use that roof design on the coupe. it works a lot better.

hmmm...wonder if I could retrofit a Cruze six-speed to the Slobalt... anyways, clean ride. you just get it?
  4. I liked those ones alright, but I'd have rather they'd have called them something other than MR2. wonder how much they run for. I could pick one up and then go around saying that I drive a mid-engine sports car.
  5. 100+ degrees in the summer, snowy in the winter? where in AZ do you live? Phoenix? Flagstaff?

Heard about it on the news this evening. pretty decent shake, but nothing to get worried about. But I kept hearing on the news that everybody in the big cities went outside afterward. Not exactly the best idea if stuff is falling from buildings. ...and this is why I always have a dog.
  7. Another late one. And you should now change your name to Moamar Ghafappy.
  8. speaking of AMC's and odd convertibles from the 80's... Saw one of these things the other night in sorta a burgundy-ish color. An AMC Eagle Sundancer, top up (Looked to be in a little better condition than this one though) kinda weird and kinda good looking in some weird way at the same time. and yeah I know they're 4WD, but as a convertible, they're a little too high off the ground for my tastes. If I got one the first thing I'd do is lower it.
  9. The 458 looks alright with it's top off, but I can't say I like the rear deck styling, as functional as it may be. I'll miss the engine window as well. The side view is easily its best aspect. And I'm trepidatious to learn what the hardtop will look like when it's up. Overall, I like the coupe better, and the 360 Spider is still the most gorgeous modern Ferrari convertible.
  10. dead sexeh.
  11. my brother, for buying a car that doesn't run, and needs a ton of bodywork.--"But I can fix it up, easy." before you give me the "project cars are fun" lecture (I know all about project cars!), I must inform you that my brother is in fact notorious for taking things apart to "fix" them, and never getting them put back together. that car is still cluttering up an offsite garage two years later; he hasn't done a thing to it.

  13. I think it is a Mosler too, but I'm not sure either.

ah, yes. Thank you, Master Yoda. I was stuck thinking 70-72, or perhaps an Impala. how could I forget the late 60's examples?
  16. from what I heard, they won't be able to make them meet the multi-stage airbag standard (which is what the NHTSA cockblocked them on) until '15. http://jalopnik.com/5829070/feds-block-pagani-huayra-us-sales-over-air-bags-for-kids (Yeah, yeah, I know half of you don't like Jalopnik, but they're still a somewhat reputable news source.)

The truck is nice. And so many other really nice cars in the backgrounds, too. A couple mid-year Sting Rays, no less than four F-bodies, what looks like a '70(?) Charger R/T, and is that blue one in front ot the truck in the rear shot a Chevelle? Can't quite tell for sure. What year is that?

had an ex that had a Cherokee just like that, except hers was a two-door. odd. there's always black cars in my driveway, even if they aren't mine.

like everyone else says, the important thing is that you're okay. cars are replaceable, lives aren't.
  20. I prefer '69's over '70's (the '69's actually still look like Mustangs, whereas I always thought the 70's look like electric shavers), but that's a really nice and SUPER CLEAN little filly there.
  21. Saw my first Camaro convertible today; black SS, top down. Looks amazing, and I don't even like chop-tops. Hope you got a good look; they ain't comin' here. Damn Feds.

    I love '69 Mustangs.

overall: or Muscle car: Sports Car: Supercar: Classic sports car: (You can imagine I have a nerdgasm every time Ferris Bueller's Day Off comes on.) but do airplanes really fall under "automotive"?
  24. Mint '67 Camaro RS (hidden headlights) convertible cream/black nose stripe/black interior last Sunday. Granted that was still July, but why bump the old thread?

But can't you just shut off all the driver's aids on the GTR? granted, you'd still be in a Space Shuttle cockpit with more information than you could possibly take in at a glance, but at least you'd be the one driving the car, not the car itself. I prefer the Z06 as a track car over the ZR1 as well. A friend of mine once said it best: "Seven liters is the right number of liters." That said I knew that the ZR1 could probably do better than a 7:21 around the Nurburgring, and it did. How much you want to bet that the Z06 can probably crack 7:25?
