2006 Hyundai Accent
I hate the way Hyundai's been making their radio and hvac controls 2 differnt coloers. It looks awkward. The whole center stack should be the same color or color scheme. The exterior looks pretty good. I do expect the Aveo to be the best selling in this class, though.

Official 9-5 Image
I hope Saab finds a design direction for their next round of new vehicles. They have the family front end down, but that's about it. Bring on the Swedish quirkiness. Whatever the hell that happens to be.

Lucerne sighted in Connecticut!
The Lucerne's design has really grown on me. I thought it was too conservative at first. Now I think it's a pretty attractive vehicle, especially for its intended demographic. The biggest problem is with the front end. The nose is too blunt, the grill too flat. The should be some curves or angles in there somewhere. It's lacking, just the rear end on the G6 and Cobalt.

2006 Chevrolet Impala 3.5 LS - Autoweek
There was barely a mention of the new 3.5 engine. I'd like to hear more about. I guess if it wasn't very good, they would have said something. Still, with it being new on the market, more should be said about it in reviews.

Saturn will offer less-expensive hybrid model
I think this announcement is way too early. It should've been saved for the beginning of 2006.

US Should Get Pursuit
Pontiac doesn't need any more badge jobs. It does need something for the compact segment, however. I hope Pontiac is working on it. All they have to do is give the Cobalt a new exterior and interior. The innards can stay the same. Maybe they're waiting for the next gen of Delta to do anything.

Kerkorian buys more GM shares
My bet in on the early speculation that he will eventually try and spin off GMAC. Without GMAC's earnings to prop itself up, GM's NA auto operation will then be forced to deal with the UAW and its legacy costs. The stock price would probably plummet otherwise.

2006 Mercedes Benz B-Class
I think it looks great but is a little too low end for a Mercedes. They should give it to Chrysler and have them sell it for around $25,000.

Tom Stephens, VP, GM Powertrain, and Gas Mileage
GM should be pushing diesels for NA in a big way. Superior gas mileage with more torque than a gas engine. What exactly is the hesitation there? You get more bang for your buck than a hybrid and GM already has the engines in Europe. Just build them over here in limited numbers to at least see what the demand would be or ship them over from Europe. There's an entire generation of people who weren't around, or don't remember, GM's diesel disaster of the early 80's. Imagine if GM sold the Cobalt with the Opel diesel engine that gets around 45 mpg. Or if they put that engine in the malibu or even the g6. Sales would spike solely because of the superior gas mileage they would offer. GM has an advantage over the competition here and they're not using it. They'll probably wait until Toyota puts a hybrid diesel in everything before they do anything.

Car Spotting
I saw my first HHR about 30 minutes ago. I didn't get a good look, though, just saw it out of the corner of my eye. It is smaller than you might expect but I think that's thing with gas prices as high as they are.

The Lounge is the most popular part of C&G
Why is that? Was it always that way? I only started visiting after the redo. Maybe there wasn't a lounge before and I'm just assuming there was. Some of you are crazy. I mean that in a good way.

The BLS: Cadillac Continues Global Growth
God, I hate this car. It looks terrible. The people at GM have their head in the clouds if they think this car can make a big splash in Europe. Better luck next time. At least it has a nice interior.

9-6X spy pics
What there is to see of it looks pretty good. I'd really like to see a 3/4 shot, though.

Isn't this the same Satty who was talking about facials the other day? Somehow, I find this ironic.

Spy shots from Autoweek
I'm really ticked off the S3X isn't coming to America. It has huge hit seller written all over it. I don't understand GM sometimes.

L.A. Auto Show Moves to November....
I'm thinking along the same lines, Northstar. LA will most likely get a few more debuts but the automakers will still save most of the good stuff for Detroit. I live out in LA so I'm excited the show will be sooner in the year. Having it right around New Years, which is when it's usually held, never seemed right to me.
