Better question is when? Are they revamping one division at a time? 1st Cadillac 2nd Saturn 3rd Pontiac 4th Buick?
  2. Sorry to hear of the problems. On the parent side, that what parents are there for. It's not always easy for them, but the day you enter this world they realize it won't be easy or perfect. On the BMW side, that is not the first time I've heard of a BMW engine die story. I-6, V-8 or . . . The problem here is that even though a Cobalt is not as exciting, it will bring MANY more trouble free, low cost miles to the person.
  3. It's about time. This would and could make a world of difference for GM. This should include getting Rick out there in the publics eye.
  4. She's beautiful. Congrats. Funny thing; the longer they are around, the more love you seem to have for them.
  5. That is the first honda I've thought looks decent in years.
  6. I like Lutz's honesty. He stated the camry was a pile not too long ago. I think these are the same bold statements he says inside GM as well. That's why their products have improved.
  7. Like other issues, this is one that can be hidden either by the State itself, or the people. Places that tend to be extreme in anything tend to hide things that shame them.
  8. I think GM has too many vehicles to be introduce all at the Detroit show. Since stepping up their model changes, they seem to be using multiple shows throughout the year for introductions. That keeps the focus on the few that come out each show, rather than vehicles getting lost in the shuffle.
  9. That is one beautiful car. It's nice to see Cadillac taking a new direction on interiors. One that puts them at the top of the class rather than the middle to bottom.
  10. I with GM didn't follow the other companies in making the interior with confusing looking with so many buttons that look the same. I do love the overall design though, both inside and out. The interior is very non-GM in it's look of quality. YEAH!! NO CORPORATE STEREO!! Could the other divisions be so lucky as to get their own as well?
  11. Great story to hear, as I had my first open heart last year and am told to expect a couple more in my lifetime. Thanks for sharing.
  12. I'll just hold onto my HHR until this hits the showrooms.
  13. When can orders be taken?
  14. What do the ending numbers stand for? % of recalls? % of public trust? Percent of repeat buyers?
  15. I read that GM is introducing 4 production vehicles. Am I off somewhere?
  16. The more I see it, the more I like it. I love the idea of the 4cyl & 6 speed auto on the LTZ.
  17. In years past, when toyota ramped up their rental fleets, their cr reports lowered.
  18. We are going to stick with the Suburban until my next raise, at which time we will get her the Chevy Lambda or a new / newer Suburban.
  19. Freestyle isn't a bad idea, but our experience with Fords hasn't been so good.
  20. I had to do that stretch atleast once a month last year (2005) for a class I had in Seattle (2 times a month in January, February and March). That still doesn't change my favorite and most common "long" drive. I-5 from Portland to LA. I've driven or was passenger going on it atleast once a year, some times two, three and four times a year, since I was 5 years old. Our family has been known to go down to LA for the weekend via car. Flying was never an option with my parents.
  21. I've, we've, done the foreign thing. They are overhyped, overrated vehicles. The nissan & toyota we owned put us on the side of the road and took more of our money than any other car that has been in our driveway. Sad part, both had less miles than the Suburban that is currently eating my money, and both cars had 100x the issues.
  22. Let me try this again. We don't buy no foreign junk. We will not do ANYTHING to promote them in ANY way. As far as I'm concerned, they are a cancer to our economy and besides, they hurt my eyes. With that said, our mechanic has promised to figure out the problem and not charge us for the fix, no matter what. It's staying with us, atleast until I get another raise and we can get an Acadia or new Suburban.
  23. Any of you see the website AM6 Cutlass and I did together regarding the death of Oldsmobile. We ended up on the front page of some major newspapers, as well as in Motorweek. It was our 5 minutes of fame.

To replace the Suburban - 2007 Suburban K1500 LT1 To replace the HHR - 2007 GMC Acadia SLT AWD I love my HHR, but it's size is about to not work for our family.

    Both great picks.
