A good answer to your question is that Honda/Acura and Toyota/Lexus don't have the kind of overlap GM has cultivated over the years, as they have less brands. I'd like Cadillac to sell a BLS/BTS model in the US, but GM has to be very careful with the way it positions its brands/models.

How about shortening a Zeta (which I believe to be significantly cheaper to produce than Sigma) to make a mid-size RWD platform? Do you think a Pontiac G6, a Cadillac BLS and a Holden model could generate enough volume to be profitable?

I think the 335d engine on the new 3 series coupe is upgraded to 286hp DIN from 272hp DIN. Sweetness!
