Cadillac Renaissance: Miracle or Mirage?
Agreed, the follow-up products will be key and at this point Cadillac's success is neither miracle nor mirage. It's a valuable 1st step. What I'd like to add to your post is that this issue of 'renaissnace'/'miracles' and what not goes far beyond Cadillac and must be allowed to spread to all other GM brands: that is Lutz's biggest challenge.

Cadillac STS Super V
Aha, so this 'Super V' would be Cadillac's equivalent of the Audi RS badge while the regular V would be the equivalent of Audi's S badge.

Dubai, United Arab Emirates
I've been to Kuwait 2 times, and it is a fairly open-minded country but more conservative than the UAE or Bahrain.

Cadillac STS Super V
So... what would this Super V offer in terms of power: A more powerful SC Northstar? The LS7?

Buick's identity
I think that defining Buick as 'less bling than a Cadillac' puts down the brand. It should be defined in positive terms: 'elegant', 'smooth' 'luxurious'. Even 'conservative' would be better.

I'm Portuguese and I don't understand why you put us and the Spanish together. They're 2 different nationalities j/k I don't give a flying f#ck

Enclave interior
Peugeot wraps the 307 CC dashboard in leather, so I have no doubt Buick and Cadillac can do it. Can't wait to see production model pictures of the Enclave.

Cadillac’s CLK Killer?
Also, placing it above CTS prices adds some space bewteen this 'CTC' and a Camaro. That space might be occupided by the GTO if that isn't streching the coupe market too much.

Roger B. Smith
Loved the comment about pairing Opel and Saturn! The rest seems the usual CEO-talk... I found it interesting that he thought the GM10s would be effective against "upscale imports". And what were "upscale imports" in the late '80s? The 1st gen Acuras and Lexus?

David E. Davis, Jr......October, 1988
lol, that's almost 11 years old and the "GM talk" is EXACTLY the same as today's. Makes one wonder if they'll ever learn...

Early Stages of Decline
- Opel/Vauxhall Antara unveiled
Tanks for posting the pics. It's interesting, the interior is a departure from the mostly square/rectangular shapes in current Opel/Vauxhall interiors.- GM plans to replace Saturn Ion with Opel car
Saw a Twin Top at the car show yesterday and it is a sweet looking car! There was an Eos at the VW stand (and I saw a preproduction Eos at a mall's parking lot last Saturday). I'd go for the Astra for outside looks and the Eos for the interior.- GM plans to replace Saturn Ion with Opel car
There's no Astra sedan, so that (along with some capacity constraints, maybe) might explain why the sales target is so low.- I'm going to miss American cars...
Also the lack of diesel engines.- NG Malibu
This looks so cheap compared to the Signum- Alfa--Back?
The Fiat Portuguese office is not far from where I live, and I was lucky to see a Brera a couple of weeks ago. To sum it up in one word: SEXY!- Sky GM's first true world car?
They're preparing for US demand to go down after the first model year, IMO.- Steve Girsky leaves GM after 9 mos.
Just because I went straight for the "reply button" without changing from "+ quote" to "- quote".- New Corsa Uncovered
I think this car is probably too small for the US.- Happy CINCO de MAYO !!! Ole'.
Aha, OK. Thanks / Obrigado. trinacriabob voce e brasileiro/a?- Happy CINCO de MAYO !!! Ole'.
Forgive me for my ignorance, but what is celebrated on the Cinco de Mayo?- Crystal-Ball Gazing
Thanks for clearing that up. I wasn't aware that it became something entirely different. - Opel/Vauxhall Antara unveiled
