Much better than the Tower-PC looking 2006 center stack Now, if you all go to the 60 minutes piece (the mp4 file someone posted the link to) and see what interior Lutz and the TV guy are leaning against (at around 50secs. to 55secs.), you'll see an interior with a wood trim piece on the passenger side that looks just like the wood trim on this interior. Seems we got more than a preview of the '08 CTS interior there :AH-HA_wink:

    EDIT nr.2: I hadn't noticed that
  3. I'd like to see lighter than the current G6 and with more power. Maybe a rebodied Epsilon SWB? A fun engine would be the Solstice's turbo I4 with a 6 sp manual.
  4. @ Shantanu: The follow up products like the '08 CTS will be the indcators of whether they're aiming for mid-pack of state-of-the-art status. I hope Cadillac takes the risk and delivers.

OK, but some will prefer to deal with Buick dealers and other with Pontiac dealers, and so on... Other manufacturers can spend their R&D money in one or two variants, and GM has to spread their money in 4 or 5 different models for the same segment. I mean, how many subsegments are there in the mid-size segment?

    Link for the news, please?
  7. The STS would need a good upmarket kick in that scenario.

No, don't! This along with 'Annual Meeting, Return to Greatness' are the most hilarious threads ever!

The Aura greenhouse with a new front and rear... Why make the Aura then? Saw the Silverado pic, but no comments on that one: pickup trucks are not my thing.

I don't know if you're answering my post back there (EDIT: on page 6), but from what I see in those pictures I don't get why this car has everyone so mesmerized.
  11. I would too, but the issue for me is that when I first saw a G6 at a FL mall I got the impression the G6 is just another car built to compete with Camry/Accord, one that offers nothing above what a properly executed Malibu would offer. I fail to see where the 'excitement' is regarding the G6...
  12. C6 is ugly as $h!, IMHO Re Alfa, it's too bad they delayed their return to the US again. The Brera and 159 are very nice looking cars that would look distinctive in US roads.

So, is this the Malibu that was previewed before, or was that preview supposed to be of the EpII model?
  14. I'm probably going to get flamed for writing this, but I'd rather see GM at nr.2 but with the highest profitability, than see GM leading by some 200k vehicles in sales but losing $10B like they did in '05...
  15. I say wrap the car in a a new body inspired by the '63-'67 Vette, and let all enthusiasts drool all over the damn thing!
  16. Re my post above: I just read the fine print saying results are not comparable. Cananopie: Buick's 'fall' might have absolutely no meaning. We don't have last year's data treated under the new methodology, so no valid comparisons can be made between 2005 and 2006.
  17. Did they reprocess last year's survey to allow for comparisons?
  18. The Senator might turn out a sleeper, but I would expect the Clubsport R8 to be outrageous.
  19. Interesting looking LWB model: a little more Asian looking than Audi-esque IMO. Also, there's a rear shot at the Aussie website that reminded me of the Citroen C6. Hopefully that's just from the angle the shots were taken from... That SS looks sick. I wonder how HSV will top that body kit without being too extravagant.
  20. Metallica (favourite band but my sig gives that away, lol. They played the Master of Puppets album in full yesterday - June 3rd 2006 - and are doing it again tonight ). Also Tool, Megadeth, Anthrax, Ozzy, Motorhead, SOAD, Sepultura, Machine Head. For the lighter side, some Waylon Jennings, Tom Waits, or even Jewel.

When will we have some pics?
  22. He changed the pics. The first ones were LHD cars with a chrome crossbar in the grille, so they were probaby the Middle Eastern Chevrolet Luminas.
  23. And that worries me more than all of the supposed media and Wall Street biases. If the company cannot market it's successes by itself, why complain about media/analysts and so on?
  24. Re the new pics: nice interior!
  25. ZL-1 replied to Derek77's topic in Chevrolet
Why does every Chevy need to have a SS version? I know that the SS badge started as basically a trim level, but that's not what it's remembered for... So why essentially make it a trim level all over again?
