2007 Canadian info is up
When you build your own they decided to charge people in some provinces $5 for the front licence plate bracket. WTF is up with that? Ridiculous

What if...
If I was a betting man I would put my money on only the uplevel models getting the 6 speed and all others getting the 4 speed. I hope they all get the 6 speed but I doubt they will.

The Last Great Differentiator
A few words from a review in the Washington Post " Even in base form with cloth seats, a 224-horsepower V-6, and a four-speed automatic transmission, the front-wheel-drive Aura sedan is a no-apologies car. It compares well with similarly equipped Honda Accord, Nissan Altima and Volkswagen Passat sedans. In the premium mid-size sedan segment, the upscale Aura XR, with supple leather seats, a 252-horsepower V-6 and a six-speed automatic transmission, gives the front-wheel-drive versions of the Audi A4 and Volvo S60 sedans a very good run for the money. Fit and finish on the base Aura XE are impeccable. Gaps between exterior panels are barely noticeable. All interior materials, including the seat fabric, are first-rate. Driver-seat comfort is excellent, as good as, if not better than, that of substantially more costly cars. In short, the Aura XE's passenger cabin is a winner, a visually stunning knockout, the best of any produced by GM's Saturn Corp. subsidiary since its founding in 1985." THANKS BOB

The Last Great Differentiator
Yes we are! Funny I was thinkinfg about Lutz this morning when I pulled into a Saturn dealer on my way to work to check out a truckload of Aura's being dropped off. Finally a great interior on a midsize GM car now if only Lutz could get it some decent wheels and not those leftover Sebring ones.

Honda passes Chrysler and Ford in Canada
I think GM's dealer network with a dealer in every one horse town helps them in Canada. As in the U.S. they are losing the battle of the big cities in Canada but sales in smaller areas probably make up a greater percentage of sales in Canada than in the U.S. cause we don't have that many big urban areas. This is just a guess. As for Ford and DCX they don't have a decent small car to sell. All DCX has to offer canadians are thier minivans and Ford only has the F 150. I am starting to see more Fusions though. I can honestly say I can't remember when the last time someone I knew bought a new DCX or Ford product. Imagine if thier fleet sales were taken off thier totals!!!- ouch

Pics from Montreal
I agree. Don't get me wrong we do have fat people here but not as many as the states. You guys seriously have to raise the price of happy meals, hell if our food was as cheap as yours I'd be fat too.

If someone can tell me how to post a pic here from my digital camera I can show you a beautiful Montreal girl.

Shocker: The Jeep Compass' Stumbling Start
That thing is hideous no wonder its not selling. I'm sure its fuel economy isn't that great either so there's not many reasons to consider it.

...
Impressive #'s no doubt about it. It helps when you add to you line up, the Yaris has sold 50K and the FJ 40k YTD and the Yaris is taking sales from all the other B cars, Aveo, accent,Rio are all down.

Dealer on new Malibu:"It's going to be a home run"
I pretty much agree with your statement. I don't see hardly any import buyers coming back to the fold. There may be a few here and there but probably a very small percentage. Hate to be so negative but I see market share and sales for the big 2.5 continuing to decline year after year with no end in sight. Import buyers are staying with imports and current detroit owners are defecting day after day.

Sept. 2006 Sales: Kia Motors America
Looks like you went to a lot of trouble to prove this point.
-
Sept. 2006 Sales: Hyundai Motor America
"September sales totaled 33,384, down 13 percent compared with September 2005 due to limited availability of all-new Accents and Elantras. Plant slowdowns this summer in Korea and strong worldwide demand for these vehicles contributed to this situation." I'm sick and tired of this PR bull from all of these companies. Your sales were down and that's that. Don't give me this crap about not having any cars on the lot to sell because of plant slow downs.

Dealer on new Malibu:"It's going to be a home run"
The title of the thread "New Malibu will be a home run" made me think of Madonna's current hit "I've heard it all before" "I've heard it all before" "I've heard it all before" .

Feel Good About GM
A nice positive article but personally I'm not ready to come out of the closet and confess my love for GM in public just yet, the last time I did that at a party I got in a fight. They have a lot of work left to do.

The Ruins Of Fisher
Yeh I went to Flint last month when I was in detroit for the Dream Cruise. The whole plant has been demolished and the place is just one big wasteland now. The only reminder that there even was a plant there are the parking lots that are overgrown with weeds. I have some pics and if I knew how the hell to post them I would.
