  1. It looks like Saab is moving away from those Saab vertical openings on each side of the grill.
  2. It's so outlandish, it could be a Barris creation.
  3. Non-official images of the new 9-5:

Visually they appeared too small on the car. Size is important. I like my wheels big. The current C6 has proper huge 5 spoke wheels....saw a C6 today in amber color, wow....and the wheels were nice and big.

  7. I know exactly what you mean. That car is an answer to a question no one was asking. And just an observation, do you notice how the fastback is making a quiet comeback....more and more cars, both 2 and 4 doors are going this route.
  8. Me too Blu....I would buy this is in a heartbeat. That middle photo above so illustrates how the front wheels look like they are thrusting out ahead like a leaping panther's feet, 'straining' to pounce. Love that muscular tension.
  9. VenSeattle, that is a very refreshing idea. I could see that. You are right, perfect dovetailing of these two companies.

I so agree, Blu. The Solstice represents something that has long been absent at GM....that creative thing that GM was so good at. It was a mantra at GM. The Solstice is a turning point. It will one day be seen as a significant car in many ways for GM....not just for Pontiac. I can't wait until Buicks present cars that embody this new refreshing spirit at GM.

I agree. The 9-3 is even better in person. I am a new convert...didn't always like Saabs....I really like this one.

Did you notice the new Corvette escaped the gas guzzler tax? That is quite an achievement for a high performance car.

Razoredge, just for you, a '69 Buick Skylark. This is one of the nicest I have seen in awhile. It is a fantastic looking car. So Buick.

A great example of the '59 LeSabre:
  15. It was and is the hottest, nicest days today, one of those perfect days, just a slight breeze, not a cloud in the sky. Here are some cars I saw: >A man in a green Dodge Caravan, picking his nose while driving. It should be outlawed, very dangerous. >a silver Dodge Viper coupe, outrageous car >a 40s purple Buick custom convertible >a new Monte Carlo in the shiniest black paint and the biggest chrome wheels....I have to admit...it was a hot looking car >that swoopy 2005 Mercedes CLS-class 4 door in silver....very arresting look to it, in motion, I see alot of them around here.
  16. Today I was at the Pontiac/Buick/GMC dealership. They have a whole load of G6 GTPs sedans and the new coupe. G6 GTP: the big wheels on this transform this sedan...it looks so much better..not so elongated. The multi slat sunroof is very neat, but I wonder about the weather tightness of it...could be problematic down the road...and that sunroof is very expensive. G6 Coupe: in the flesh this coupe is really a fastback, more pronounced than I had realized. Impressions: I didn't like the G6 early on...looked too narrow, but that GTP has me swayed....looked very sexy. I see many G6s...must be selling well. Does anyone know how the sales are doing?
  17. That is one beautiful Ferrari. So pure.
  18. Hyundai owns Kia and they have the successful Sedona so it's not like they don't have a minivan to sell.
  19. I think the Kia Spectra5 is a much more successful design. When this came out, I was quite impressed with that swelling of the fender just ahead of the front wheels...a nice detail.

The 9-5 is getting a refreshed front and rear.
  21. I hear ya...I am definitely going to get that diecast model of the Solstice.
  22. This Saab version is significantly more than a mere rebadge. I don't mind it.
  23. Check out the fun stuff from Solstice: http://www.solsticestuff.com/catalog/
