  1. Great pics!....I love 'em. What's powering the Malibu?
  2. Sixty8, you need to frame that: ..."I'll take love-em-or-hate-em designs over boring designs any day". That's it exactly!! It's like water....it either has to be hot or cold, not luke warm. Here's a little something hot or cold depending on one's preferences, for me this is scorching white hot:
  3. I do believe that your wish will come true. I think the new full size Chevys are going to be very good looking trucks.
  4. For some reason this post went twice on the board.....can someone remove one for me?
  5. From 1955-57, Chevy had the famous Nomad and much has been written about it to the point of iconic status. But another General Motors product also had a version. The Pontiac Safari. It is relatively rare and rarely mentioned. 1955 1956 1957
  6. What concept is this? Can you also name the year?

You got that right. It was another example of GM doing something different than the conventional...they didn't have to do this sideways hood, but they did it anyways....I like those unusual details.
  8. HarleyEarl posted a topic in Kia
The 2007 Kia Magentis preview, looking a lot like a 2006 Hyundai.
  9. I always liked that Bel Air concept. It's an interpretation of the original for our times.

I agree Razoredge about this being more appropriate in the Buick forum, but it states that it's for current or future Buicks only. It doesn't include past Buicks in C&G critieria. I love how these hoods opened on these Buicks:
  11. I really like this Suzuki. It is a good looking suv.
  12. It's not always about horsepower. I tend to like good torque in a truck. Interior shot:
  13. I think this roadster in it's various forms will play very well in Europe.
  14. HarleyEarl replied to 03Yukon's topic in Cadillac
03Yukon do you have a larger pic of that Escalade thats in your avatar for me to add to my collection?....damn that is one of the nicest I've seen
  15. HarleyEarl replied to HarleyEarl's topic in The Lounge
...and then there is this '42 Buick pickup.
  16. HarleyEarl replied to HarleyEarl's topic in The Lounge
...and yes Buick got a little famboyant in '58 as witness this Limited:

I tremble at the sight of this car, it is so Buick. 1957
  18. Sixty8 I have never seen the Bel Air in that color...looks very good.
  19. HarleyEarl replied to 03Yukon's topic in Cadillac
....oh and that Colorado is definitely interesting just below that Escalade spy shot.
  20. HarleyEarl replied to 03Yukon's topic in Cadillac
Honestly, Jim Dunne sounded silly in this little article. He seems to think everyone wants a smooth Escalade, the appeal of the Escalade has been it's larger than life presence. What heavy criticism? Huh? GM has a full line of trucks and suvs from small to very large. No different than most major car makers.
  21. B) ....luvin that Batman avatar...
  22. Lord Stafford where are you?....come back. Always enjoyed your take on cars, great sense of humor and debating skills. And your love of big GM iron.
  23. ...and especially the new Toyota Tacoma...it is verging on cartoon design.
  24. HarleyEarl replied to HarleyEarl's topic in The Lounge
Exactly 'wildcat'.....all Buick designers, executives should be required to study Buicks illustrious history and it's designs and pour over photos of past Buicks and catch the 'Buick Spirit'....and this is not just about nostalgia, it's about what this great auto company has done and could do.
  25. Of course the XUV was not the first with this concept and a retracting roof. Here is the 1963 Studebaker Wagonaire:
