Steel Tariffs Lifted
This move will not only aid Detroit automakers, but also other auto companies with plants in the US. This is good news for the US Big 2, DCX, and the Japanese Big 3. And Hyundai, Kia, and BMW. I think that covers everyone.

UAW May Form Merger(s) to Boost Membership
Okay, so they'd like a merger. But with who? Would they be able to merge internationally with the CAW? Has a union ever done that before? Can a union do that? They really need to try to get union control of the foreign owned plants. That will... Actually, that would probably just force more jobs out of the country.

"SS" Won't Go On Just Anything Anymore
As I said in the Equinox Sport thread, they can also take this opportunity to fix the badging on the Cobalt SS and Cobalt Supercharged SS. A bit SS happy, don't you think?

First Pic (I think) of Outlook Without Nav
Agreed. Make the spokes silver. And maybe wrap the wheel in leather. Y'all know this interior is in response to all the people who have complained in the past - on this board and elsewhere - that no one does color keyed interiors anymore, riiiight?Careful what you wish for. :AH-HA_wink:

This Is Interesting...
About the only beneficial thing this would do is spread our security standards to both countries and eliminate our huge northern and southern borders.

Solstice Outsells Miata
GM now leads another segment! So, how many of those 34,234 combined buyers do you think read all the auto rag reviews... Or even care?

1988 Buick Lucerne?
Looks like inspiration for the Roadmaster.

Oh No, ASIMO!
Is that the inspiration for Dot Matrix?

Bad drivers tend to own... Honda? Toyota? VW?
Actually, the type of drivers that scare me the most are the midnight motorcycle racers. On Long Island parkways, the drive literally top speed in droves of 7 or 8. Top speed being at least 150 mph.

New GM hybrid rumors - focus group report
Naturally the concerns focus on reliability. These guys don't realize how long GM has come in terms of vehicle reliability.

Motor journalists name Corsa "Top Car 2007"
Well... Yeah, that's pretty much what NHTSA is going for. If someone has the time to read this, go nuts.http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/rules/standards/

FIRST LOOK: 2008 Chevrolet Equinox Sport
Introducing "Sport" to Chevrolet naming convention can very easily clean up the naming of the Cobalts. SS -> Sport Supercharged SS -> SS

Devil's night
Granted, that's pretty bad. I meant that egging "the house of the bully you hated" at least has some minute level of justification to it, rather than using the eggs for the purpose of bullying.

Chevrolet Impala wins back to back titles
Well, the key factors are right here: So it's a good thing. Except for the whole "timeless" design thing, which is basically just another way of saying this car is boring looking.

GM introduces vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) system
A visual warning, like a flashing speedometer, could do wonders if your speed creeps more than 10 mph above the posted speed limit. Sometimes I get so hellbent on passing someone on the highway that I look down and suddenly notice I'm doing 80 in a 65.

Devil's night
On Long Island (and likely everywhere else), the hooligans would just egg, TP, and spray shaving cream on Halloween night, rather than the night before. And they don't pick any target in particular, either. By comparison, Devil's Night sounds rather mundane.

GM introduces vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) system
I sincerely doubt that any mechanism would be put into place that would actually control the movements of the vehicle remotely. At least not for many decades. Though PurdueGuy's idea of in car road sign display is pretty nifty and could be useful. Although, the only signs that necessarily need to be broadcasted directly into the car are Speed Limit, Construction Zones, current street/direction (i.e. I95 North), and Next Exit. Everything else would proably be clutter.
