FIRST LOOK: 2008 Chevrolet Malibu
How many consumers even know what Bluetooth is, let alone demand it? And I have not seen anything anywhere that says the Malibu will NOT receive a full-blown nav screen as an option...

2008 Cadillac CTS: Image Gallery
All the interiors in the above comparison are nicely done, except that I don't like the beige BMW interior. I noticed that again the CTS manual is going to have a foot emergency/parking brake. I'm not sure whether that's good or bad, or if it's even an issue.

08 Malibu on chevy.com
Fusion isn't so bland. I've said in another thread that the Malibu tail looks great in a head-on view. At the 3/4 angle it looks far too flat, almost like NASCAR stickers. Uh oh...

CONCEPT: Chevrolet Volt
I voted yes for GM to build it. I also voted yes as far as considering to buy it. Scale back the concept details as much as necessary (particularly those windows... not that I don't like them, but I don't see how they "work"), as long as the same powertrain is in place and the MSRP is below $25k for a base model.

Honda Accord Coupe Concept
aaaantoine replied to Intrepidation's topic in North American International Auto Show in Detroit (NAIAS)Hmm... touché. Perhaps my perception of the vehicle had changed once they cleaned up the details and made it a single color. Anyway, this is the first time I can actually say that I like the look of a Honda (Acura excluded).

First Look: 2008 Pontiac G6 GXP
After I've gotten over the initial shock, I actually like the front. The bold grille will set it apart from the standard G6. The rear spoiler is both an eyesore and a dangerous blind spot.

Where can we find some hi-res photos? This car is going on my desktop.

Honda Accord Coupe Concept
aaaantoine replied to Intrepidation's topic in North American International Auto Show in Detroit (NAIAS)I remember the Civic concept looking very futuristic and even somewhat stylish, and becoming something very hideous in production. Let's hope the same does not happen to the Accord. Not because it will negatively alter sales, but because I know that high sales in spite of poor design will keep the image freshly ingrained in my skull.

Dreams- Off the Wall; I "Met" Someone
I always have random dreams. In fact, on Friday night I had one of my first mostly-coherent dreams in a long time. Those who have been browsing this board over the past week might know where it came from. I bought a revolver. I was using it in various target practice situations, but suddenly I saw someone walking on a bridge in the distance and I had the instinct to shoot him. It was a pretty long range shot, so I was both surprised and horrified that he actually went down. No one saw me except for family, but the kid received ambulatory care almost immediately. Later that evening I wound up sitting at the dinner table with my wife and family, and the guy's parents. I hadn't killed him, but apparently he was some sort of athlete and I shot him in the leg. I did not kill him, but rather I took away his life as he knew it. The parents did not know that I had done this. I didn't want to confess because I knew the consequences. Meanwhile, someone points out to me "oh, you dropped your gun". I look behind me and on the floor was the revolver, still loaded with one bullet in an off-chamber. I picked it up, and the man took it from me. He examined the gun, and he even looked at the bullet. He gave me a suspecting look, as if he were to say, "why do you have this?" He had all the evidence he needed right in his hands to have me charged and convicted. But he handed both the bullet and the gun back to me. We continued conversating. My extreme anxiety eclipsed the conversation. I woke up shortly after he gave the gun back to me. That'll keep me away from the gun shop for awhile...

2008 Cadillac CTS: Image Gallery
I get a very strong Cadillac vibe from this front end. And I don't even mean A&S Cadillac. I mean Cadillacs of decades past. Back when Cadillac was the Standard of the World. I don't think anyone outside GM was expecting a design this bold before its preview on 60 Minutes.

2008 Ford Focus
Now that I think about it, this is kinda like Ford's answer to the Civic, in terms of styling.

Looking good from all angles. And apparently, you are lame if you DON'T put a chrome strip above your rear license plate. I wonder who started that whole thing.

2008 Cadillac CTS official photos
Rear: An excellent blend of CTS and STS. A much more refined version of the original CTS tail, without being too refined and boring like the STS. Solid A. Front: The shot in orange paint is awesome, but the angle / lighting of the red-painted model has me a little nervous. Jury will remain out until I see one in person. Interesting detail: The amber reflectors are on the inward side of the head lamps. Interior: Love the steering wheel, gauges, center stack, vents, stitched dashboard, and the artistic yet carefully ergonomic button layout. A+ for design and features. Other observations about the interior: XM button in addition to AM/FM button. Dual climate control zones each get their own display. The USB port - if there is one - is not exposed. Additionally, USB makes for smaller and more useful MP3 portability than Compact Flash (See 2008 QX56. WTF, Infiniti?). Brougham-Holiday -- Look at the larger orange CTS pic. The GM badge is beneath the crease and in front of the door. network engineer -- I don't see the keyless go. The interior shots I see have a turnkey ignition. Unless you're referring to something else.

NINTENDO!
Of course. I remember hearing that at one point. TurboGrafix, eh? How about Genesis? Also, are those Wii Points cards for the Virtual Console games or are they something else entirely?

It's... Not as bad as I thought it was going to be.

Paypal scam e-mail
I've gotten a couple in the past. PayPal has a phishing reporting e-mail. Forward the message to [email protected]. I shouldn't have to tell anyone here not to trust any "official" email you get from any company that might use personally identifying information (*cough* bank accounts *cough* SSN *cough*).

2008 Infiniti QX56
I like the symmetrical placement of the two power outlets on the center stack. Compact Flash slot... Too bad I use SD cards.

First Look: 2008 Pontiac G6 GXP
Even a slight adjustment can make a huge difference. PS. That sheetmetal arrowhead beneath the grille was accidental, but I think it adds a more differentation for GXP.

NINTENDO!
It'll probably be more like $20-$25, depending on demand.
