Mini to Offer AWD on 2008 Models
The engines of the "old" Mini were Chrysler-derived, and we know how powerful they can become, if a little sensitive to head gaskets issues. As for All Wheel Drive? Nifty, but no thank you. "Weight is Always the Enemy"

Reviews: 2007 Maserati Quattroporte Automatica
Aww, come on, it is rear-drive :AH-HA_wink: . I think it's gorgeous and voluptuous. The only thing I don't care for regarding the styling is the "lip" thing on the very front of its nose in the grille area. It's better looking than any Bimmer. They included automatic into the name of the car because it previously only had the automated manual, and as a luxury car, that didn't go over well, but the smoother automatic will. For me, this is one of those cases where I would just have to have my Duo-Select transmission. To flip the paddles. To hear that Ferrari-derived V8 sing. I've seen one in person ever, and it was in Coldwater here pulling out of a restaurant . It was the most beautiful thing I have ever heard coming from a car like that.

Smart in the us (pics)
Nothing! The engine is in the back and it's rear-drive. The engine range includes like 3-cylinder diesel and petrol units, and maybe a tiny 4, but I doubt it.

Analysts Scoff At Chrysler Spin-off
No, it's not too late. And how much investment could Daimler have possibly put into this? If they had, Chrysler would not be where they are now, and their cars wouldn't have such crappy interiors. As if splitting up would be any more devastating for Chrysler than to stay with Benz which has been draining the life out of it. Besides, the Mercedes parts that Chrysler does use are probably done so under lisence, and so would continue to have them for some time to come.

Skoda: A Joke no More!
Lol! Yeah! Thanks. I should have thought of it, lol.

Skoda: A Joke no More!
As if Volkswagen brand has any business worrying about these lower priced SEATS and Skodas stealing sales away from them. If VW had remained The People's Car as intended, then it wouldn't be an issue. But no. Said V-Dub, "Let's issue a road crusher called Phaeton that isn't a phaeton at all, and has a sticker to stop your heart".

Dodge Demon Roadster Concept
Could, but we do not know whether or not they are. Besides, I'm sure Chrysler could turn it up if they wanted to. They have already owned (GM's Zeta cars may change that, it'll be exciting to watch) the full size rear-drive sedan market with the 300, and with the SRT-8 version currently with 425 hp, and already up for an increase in power. Plus, even after the Neon SRT-4 debuted with 215 hp, GM introduced the ION Red Line/ Cobalt SS Supercharged with 205 hp (this is a performance based argument, not civility and comfort. I acknowledge that the SRT-4 is a rough and tumble fighter). Then the SRT-4 was upgraded to a factory 230 hp, and then Mopar kits were available for up to 300 hp or more on pump gas. That was with the Chrysler 2.4L DOHC 16V Iron-block Unit. The new Global 2.4L is much more modern, and although probably not as friendly to boost (aluminum blocks, and don't they all have an open deck?), they are probably capable of much more. I highly doubt that Chrysler's SRT-team would let the Demon become uncompetetive in the performance arena.

ALMOND JOY HAS NUTS
Eh, it depends. I generally don't take nuts in my candy, and almonds are the only exception I would make for this, so, sometimes... But I still voted "Mounds" for here regarding my general preferences.

Dodge Demon Roadster Concept
Perhaps in the subtle side curve, but the Z4 is an ugly baby. Even this Dodge concept looks like a Sky compared to the Z4.

Patriot & Avenger
You know, if it wasn't for those crazy hips on the rear, I would actually like it. Somehow, it reminds me of the Aries and/or Spirit. Boxy. Chrome stripped. Functional. Maybe Chrysler is trying to woo buyers back by reminding them of the simple, boxy econo-cubes that never failed they produced in the `80's. "Chrysler. Quality Was Better in the 1980's". J/K on the above. Sure there were transmissions, and headgaskets, and perhaps sludging engines, but Chrysler did honestly try to improve. Then Benz pulled the rug out from beneath in 1998.

Dodge Demon Roadster Concept
I would say that with the base 2.4L ECOTECS in the Sky/Solstice producing 177 hp, 172 hp in the Demon is just as competetive. Especially considering that the Sky/Solistice with their perfomance models Red Line/GXP producing around, what, 260 hp, and Chrysler has the upcoming Dodge Caliber SRT-4 with the same global 2.4L DCX 4 pot as in the Demon (not to mention Hyundai Sonata, Kia Optima, Chrysler Sebring, Dodge Avenger, and upcoming Mitsubishis) but turbocharged to 300 hp. Yes, as in like 40 more than either of GM's gorgeous roadsters. Now, logic would indicate that the inevitable SRT-4 version of the Demon would feature the same engine, if not being exactly the same such as the same state of tune (300 hp) It will be plenty competetive in the engine department.

Chrysler Cuts Will Bind It More to Benz
I highly doubt that would be allowed to happen. Daimler doesn't run the earth. I think that the only part they would keep would be Jeep out of all of it.

Dodge Demon Roadster Concept
I disagree with some of you stating the rear is unattractive. I like it more than the front, it seems very Audi-like. If they inverted the grille on this thing, then I would like it all over.

Drugs?
Eh, tried pot, but that's it. Nothing hard core or especially dangerous. Thing is, I was getting in trouble and being oaccused of things by my crazy mother, and so it was something I ended up doing out of spite. I would have remained a total goody-goody if it weren't for her lunacy and my subsequent anger. I mean, if I am getting in trouble for something, why not actually do it?

FIRST LOOK: 2008 Pontiac G8 GT
Well, that's because I wasn't too involved in GTO discussions, but not only do I hate the scoops (lights are fine) I think that they are an even dumber idea on a largish four door saloon car.

Chrysler Cuts Will Bind It More to Benz
I agree. This won't bode well should the buyout be reversed. But, Chrysler is sort of already swallowed up. I'm sure they have to ask if they can do anything anymore.

It's a gay person's car? It's a recruiter? Lol. I wonder what they were thinking...

You Have Much to Live for, Robot!
There was nothing wrong with the commercial at all. I saw the original and loved it. These groups are nothing but a bunch of pussies that want the world censored just to make them happy because they don't thinks it's right. Um, it wasn't naked people, it wasn't even alive. If I were calling the shots, it would be "F*CK YOU!" to this group. Of course, not literally said, but there would be no pulling of the ad. Nor is it telling people TO commit suicide. For goups like these, including PETA, and whatever else there may be (GSA? But I haven't heard anything crazy from them) they can burn in hell. Deal with it. It was representational of a dream, and dreams aren't real. It was a robot, not a person, not an animal, not a living thing in the least. Although suicide is terrible, everyone at one point or another has had the thought of it cross their mind in some way, shape, or form. We are just strong enough, sane enough not to acknowledge it any farther. Suicide is for the weak. It's the easy way out. And, know what? I view people that constantly threaten suicide as being worthless to society. I can justify keeping this on the air better than they can for taking it off it seems. Because I have my own opinion. I stick to it. Strength conquers in the world even if "blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth". However, there is a difference between being "meek" as considered in the Biblical context and being weak and unable to stand for one's self. Here, I say make a reference to David and Goliath. Thank you. There's a lot more where this came from. I'm passionate about what I believe in. I Believe GM Will Prosper. I Believe Chrysler Can Pose a Legitimate Challenge to All. I Believe in Me. I Believe in God.

C&D quickest car shootout
Whatever C&D knows. I generally prefer the cars at the end of these lists in tests like these. Like the Pontiac, Chevrolet, Saturns, Mitsubishi, or, in others, The A4 by Audi, the 9-3.
