Loss of a Friend
It's a Looong read! So, I lost the friendship of someone that I honestly thought was my best friend over the course of the last month and a half. My former friend's name is Dustin to start off, and we were friends for six years; all through high school and up until this year. I had always questioned his orientation due to things he did, tried to do to me, and what not. Of course, this person was my one "exception to the rule" but I never did anything for my own obvious reasons. Anyway, after an interesting ride back one evening from a local dirt racing track, I had gotten the answer I had wanted. Yes, he was/is a bit of a closet case. One evening around a month later (June now), I had stopped by his girlfriend's (and she, Michelle, is a friend of mine as well) and was talking to her. She asked what was new with me, and I said that most of my new stuff had happened within the last month. She inquired, and I only told her really of dating my (now) ex-girlfriend Meagan. Then I made the mistake of saying that Meagan was jealous according to my friend Curtis of me hanging out with Dustin so much both at and outside of work. Somehow Michelle put things together, and due to things that she has heard from other people, inquired Dustin about his past and his sexuality. Of course, it ended up being all my fault, and he called me at work and said that I was not welcome around anymore, etc. That really did, as my friend Jenny put it, broke my heart. He was supposed to be my best friend. Work sent me home at 10:30 that morning because I was basically dead that day. So, after the intial shock and pain, I got over that and made an effort for one month to resolve the problem/misunderstanding. During this month, I had stopped up to DQ with Meagan, and asked him about it. Dustin said that he was pretty much set and didn't want any drama. So I waited and continued to put forth an effort. Finally, I got pissed and decided that I had nothing to lose afterall, and decided to finish things MY way. I went to Michelle's and told her just the one situation, and not all of the other stories that I could have. So, I ousted his ass and proceded to tell everyone at work (McD's) about it. Then the supervisors at DQ (my second job) had to know as well so he would try to fire me since Dustin is a supervisor as well. Well, the owners had to be told about this, and word in a small town like Coldwater spreads fast anyway. So Dustin was one wrong move away from being fired regarding my situation and a friend of mine there, Bryan, said that he could have him fired with two words. Sexual harrassment. Apparently Dustin grabbed Bryan's ass on the second day he worked! Anyway, the other night when I wasn't there, but was told about it, Dustin was talking about Bryan, and what it regarded was totally sexual harrassment. Apparently, Dustin is going to be fired right before he returns to school. I hope I'm there to watch!!! So what's the lesson learned here? Don't ignore or reject me because things are finished my way. And if I'm not happy when something is finished, it probably doesn't bode well for whomever it concerns. Meagan said she was afraid to dump me because of what I did to Dustin. Don't get me wrong, I'll bend over backwards for my friends, just never betray me. Peace!

2008 Chevrolet Vectra (Brazil)
Umm, no. That's a rather terrible idea. Chevrolet shouldn't now or ever receive this variant of the Astra. It would negate the whole purpose of GM even trying to differentiate the brands. That's more than obvious. 'Hmm, oh look. This is the four door Chevrolet version of the Saturn hatchbacks across the street.' Stunts like THAT are what helped GM get into it's predicament in the first place. Saturn and ONLY Saturn should get the Astra and all included variants such as the 3-door, 5-door, sedan, TwinTop, and Estate.

GM's V2V allows cars to talk to each other
Noyt for me. Technically, it could be useful, but this is just a nanny device for sure. Plus, it could be used to track people (not just a stolen car). No thanks. I'll take my privacy.

Chrysler to Celebrate Return to American Ownership
Neat. I'm hoping and expect that now with the Germans out of the picture, Chrysler will be back to leading the industry in the styling department. I just feel that Chrysler was choked off in so many ways because of the egos in Stuttgart.

Official Pic of 135i Coupe
Back end doesn't go with the front, almost as though from two different cars. I dislike the sagging "cut" lines of the doors and side panels and the weird tail lamps and trunk lid. BMW makes technically ugly cars.

Good review of the '07 Sebring Convertible
You know, I never thought I'd say this, but the Sebring's grotesque styling is somehow growing on me, especially in convertible form. I'm shocked!

VA speed law: Go 70, get a year in jail and $3K ticket
What a ridiculous law. It IS all about money. Police are probably mostly those people that I bet were never popular, never had fun, and no one liked, so they don't want anyone else either (not regarding speed here). I would say that Interstate speeds need to be much higher, at least so for those with special training and what not. I got busted for 92mph in a 70mph zone. Good thing they didn't catch me earlier... The road wasn't clogged, it was sunny, and dry. Why not go faster and get to the destination quicker? 83mph is my usual set speed around Interstates in my area. Oh, $h!. Lol. Who wants to live in a "confederate" state anyway?

- - - - RWD vs. FWD proportions - - - -
If turning the powertrain 180* for better front proportions would be basically like having the engine mounted up toward the firewall and the transmission connecting to the front wheels which would now be well ahead of the engine, then that's a perfect proportioning solution to FWD cars that are to be FWD only. I think AWD would be a nightmare with that set up.

Do you hold back?
Thank you and so do I. I talked with him a bit tonight telling him that I wanted to talk, and unfortunately, said that he is pretty much set and doesn't need drama but that we could talk. So, here's to hoping.

Do you hold back?
Well, since this has sort of developed into a sexuality thread/holding back topic, I have two cents to add. I can understand the whole "closet case" subject or at least, a demand to keep something under wraps due to having the "All American Family". Case and Point? My best friend I had sort of wondered about (you know where I am going, so the explanation is not needed) for five years now (since sophomore year in high school) and I was thinking about how to ask him how he felt, and how he felt about me. Well, one night we were at a local dirt track (Butler Motor Speedway) drinking and hanging out with him, his brother, and his brother's girlfriend, and then we went back to Techno's (his nickname) house to pick up Amp'D's son Trenton (Amp'D is Cojack's (Techno's bro) girl). Techno and I were wedged in the back. Him by the door, me in the middle, and a car seat with a two year old to our right. We fanaggled a seat belt across both of us which was incredible considering that we were drunk off our asses and prepped for the ride home. Well, I was minding my own business laughing, and talking, and all of a sudden he took my left hand, started caressing it, and said, "I'm going to hell for this, but now you know." All I had ever wanted to find out just fell into my lap without any effort, and well, (I'll never tell my girlfriend this) it was the answer I wanted. It was best car ride ever. Hehe. Well, back to keeping things under wraps, he thought that I had told his girlfriend something about it, and he told me that I wasn't welcome around anymore, and that ripped my heart out to hear that from my best friend. Work actually sent me home early- by five hours. Nothing had ever hurt me so much. It's finally being worked out, and I really need to talk to him, I just need him to accept my invite. Tequila weekend here we come! So, I know all about it. Because I feel the same*. *Names were changed to protect identities, and by feeling the same, there is only One the same as me.

2008 Saturn Astra - Ordering Guide
Air conditioning is overrated you wussies. I could be happy with power nothing- not even steering and no a/c. Just give me a stick, some style, speed control, and a fun to drive factor, and that's all I'd ever need!

Do you hold back?
Yes. I hold back too much of what I think or say. It's been bad for me. And, due to a misunderstanding, my best friend told me I wasn't welcome around anymore. But at work, I can tell he is trying so hard to NOT talk to me. It's an obvious effort. I will make things better. They are already a work in progress.

...at your local Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep, Jaguar dealer...
I think it would be best to not involve Chrysler in any more foreign automakers. Especially one like Jaguar.

Pentastar's BACK!
Indeed. I shall have to do that one day when I have more time!

Pentastar's BACK!
Cool. I think it would be hard to update the Pentatstar anyway, but as long as Chrysler Corporation (it feels good to say that) maintains the identities and emblems of the divisions as they are now, then there ought to be nothing to worry about. Use the Pentastar as the corporate logo only. I always did like the Pentastar, and remember: FIVE is greater than Three!

Jeep Compass Rallye
Completely disgusting. Chrysler ought to kill this thing already. They ought to eliminate the Patriot too since it's not a real Jeep either, but at least it looks good being a poseur. This thing is like a mid-90's Korean knock-off. Ever wonder what may happen if people like us ran the automakers (with respect to budgets of course)??????
