  1. I just read a EQB review and have to say the same thing, but not for the 800v system. I'm less concerned about the max capacity charging, as there aren't a million super fast chargers around plus I don't think most owners will/should charge publicly anyway. But a max charge rate of 100kw is low, 150kw should be minimum for anything coming out in 2022 and beyond, imo. It just sounded quite half baked for 50-70k. I think it was only rated for like 227 miles of range, didn't seem all that quick for an EV (like the Lyriq) but not actually slow, and the floor was raised to interior room was slightly decreased. I just couldn't even consider it when the Q4 e-Tron and Lyriq exist.
  2. Sounds like a rare misstep for Honda, unfortunate.
  3. Well, we're well beyond those days and a reliable vehicle is pretty easy to find. I, too, haven't heard any stories of Bolts bricking, just catching fire. ? I kid, but seriously, I haven't heard of those issues with the Bolts.
  4. Dear GM, This is what the Blazer should look like. Please stop with the gimmicky EV styling. Sincerely, Everybody
  5. If that's the mindset, then they're going to push the movement back some years because it'll piss off regular buyers enough to say "fck electric, it's not worth it". It's Honda, they likely won't allow something to leave their facilities with major issues.
  6. That's freakin inexcusable for how long these same exact models have been around. No, there's a relatively simple process to get a Tesla into a tow mode/neutral. I couldn't find one for a Hummer EV. You don't have to unhook the 12v battery in a Tesla to reset it (did you see the process to reset everything once they reconnected the 12v battery?) to then be able to put it into neutral.
  7. Comparing the Hummer to an Alfa product likely isn't a good thing... I guess we should expect them to be piles for a few years. Also, not having a fairly easy way to get the vehicle into a tow mode for trailering..? What's that about. I wonder how many other vehicles have the same issue, I've just never come across it (because the vehicles don't brick themselves).
  8. BlEeDiNg EdGe, with a description like that I'd assume you work for GM. The technology really isn't THAT new. It's still just an electric vehicle with air suspension and a locking differential. Rear wheel steer isn't new either, even for GM. I can't imagine any regular person buying one of these(or any vehicle) is expecting things to not work, just because it's new.
  9. Honda Prologue. Honda's first product using the joint venture with GM and their Ultium platform. Dear GM, This is what the Blazer should look like. Please stop with the gimmicky EV styling.
  10. That doesn't make it any more or less acceptable for the Hummer, especially with its starting price.
  11. What? Yes, they do. I was just on their site a few minutes ago.
  12. I'd wager good money that there's just too many moving parts for manufacturers to keep accurate inventory numbers for dealerships on their websites.
  13. I know Ford hasn't been known for their problem-less rollouts recently but I don't recall hearing Mach-e's and Lightnings bricking themselves nor having non-functional systems within the vehicle. There's a price to pay to being the first and there's a price to pay for a company not completing the vehicle. The above issues with the Hummer shouldn't happen, period. I don't think people spending 100-150k on a vehicle should be considered test dummies, just because they're early adaptors.
  14. There are a lot of EQB's within 100 miles of me but I see zero EQS SUV's within all of Autotrader's reach. https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/vehicledetails.xhtml?listingId=656795677&allListingType=all-cars&makeCodeList=MB&city=Highland&state=IL&zip=62249&location=&requestId=2281868035&searchRadius=50&seriesCodeList=EQB_CLASS%2CEQS_CLASS&marketExtension=include&isNewSearch=false&showAccelerateBanner=false&sortBy=relevance&numRecords=25&dma=&referrer=%2Fcars-for-sale%2Fall-cars%2Fmercedes-benz%2Fhighland-il-62249%3FrequestId%3D2281868035%26dma%3D%26searchRadius%3D50%26seriesCodeList%3DEQB_CLASS%2CEQS_CLASS%26location%3D%26marketExtension%3Dinclude%26isNewSearch%3Dfalse%26showAccelerateBanner%3Dfalse%26sortBy%3Drelevance%26numRecords%3D25&clickType=listing This is the closest MB dealer to me. If you go to Autotrader, I see plenty in the Seattle area at dealerships. https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/vehicledetails.xhtml?listingId=657524199&allListingType=all-cars&makeCodeList=MB&seriesCodeList=EQB_CLASS&city=Seattle&state=WA&zip=98101&location=&searchRadius=100&marketExtension=include&isNewSearch=false&showAccelerateBanner=false&sortBy=relevance&numRecords=25&requestId=EQS_CLASS&dma=&referrer=%2Fcars-for-sale%2Fall-cars%2Fmercedes-benz%2Feqb-class%2Fseattle-wa-98101%3Fdma%3D%26searchRadius%3D100%26location%3D%26marketExtension%3Dinclude%26isNewSearch%3Dfalse%26showAccelerateBanner%3Dfalse%26sortBy%3Drelevance%26numRecords%3D25%26requestId%3DEQS_CLASS&clickType=listing
  15. It's just unfortunate how they look. I'm a Merc fan but I'd skip right over their lot if I wanted an EV. They're just the worst things to look at. Didn't they JUST start production of them a handful of months ago? I assume production wasn't up to 100% capacity, like everything that's brand new. I think a full year's worth of production would be a much better comparison.
  16. FYI, this is two different Hummers with differing issues. The one that had interior issues and air ride issues is GM's and they said it had just under or just over 2000 miles on it. The other one is theirs with 150 miles on it. That's a good way to piss customers off and push them away from EVs for awhile until it becomes proven technology. Your flagship vehicle shouldn't be bricking itself brand new.
  17. It isn't like GM's EV rollout has been any smoother, Bolt and Hummer issues. Oh i completely agree with you here. I'm just saying that Tesla has still been crushing it. Without a doubt, I believe their sales will stumble once there are 30-50 other EV options available. But, right now, they clearly are the winners with their infrastructure. Every single review I've watched of non-Teslas complain about the charging network and how piss-poor the systems are compared to the simplicity of Tesla's.
  18. And yet many more love them. Their sales really are impressive for a four vehicle lineup.
  19. Seems to be some quality issues with the Hummer EV.
  20. I feel like that's because they didn't just make them quirky just to be quirky. For the most part, they look like regular small SUVs. I don't think GM is exactly doing the same with Chevy EVs. Silverado vs Silverado EV and Equinox vs Equinox EV, you can clearly tell the EV version is quite different. I completely disagree that they're taking the same approach as Audi. The Blazer is different, too, but their "grille" area was given a little more of a "conventional" approach...just by blacking it out.
  21. I actually didn't know what it was when I saw a Polestar2 at my local Walmart a few months ago. I saw it and wondered, "this looks pretty sharp, what the hell is it?!" I had to go a little googling because it gave off Volvo vibes and sure enough, it was a Polestar2. It's pretty dang good looking car but seems way overpriced for what you get.
  22. And yet, nobody showed me how it is MORE convenient to RENT an EV than an ICE vehicle. Drew showed me how it wasn't bad to do, and I knew that. The hill I will die on is that in 2023(when the order will start to be fulfilled), it will still not be as convenient to rent an EV than it will be to rent a comparable ICE vehicle. Yup, and the 4 drew showed me are about as slow as they get from a 220 plug, 6-13kw, if I remember correctly. Nice and ironic of you, you called me idiotic within this same post. You can't just say you're being civil and that automatically makes you civil.
  23. David talks to me like two people having a conversation and will post legitimate information with links. You, do not. David and I were talking about the same exact thing you and I were yet you were just calling me names because you didn't agree with me. Okay, if you want to name call because our opinions are the same, don't expect to be treated the same way as somebody who talks respectfully and is informative.
  24. I still think Mercedes' ICE sedans and SUVs look plenty good. Those EV sedans and SUVs though... are rough to look at. They just went as bland as they possibly could have with damn near literal jellybean styling.
  25. I really don't hate the styling and I'm sure there will be non-gold versions to actually buy so that's not really an issue to me. The gold doesn't do much for me but just assuming that will not be on every single one of these sold, it doesn't bother me. I can look past that.
