Mercedez Benz News Mercedes-AMG Announce Two All-Electric Performance Saloons, Is It The Best or Nothing?
No amount of tech goodies and supposed range and performance will cover up that hideous jellybean undercover VW CC look (and I literally just saw an EQS at the MB dealership in Greensboro two days ago). Rabid fanboys aside, no one in their right mind would say that Benz put out their best design for this.

Kia News: Kia and Electrify America Adds Free Charging to EV6 Buyers
Dear SM...I mean Balth: Compare package apples to package apples. Those base model ICE versions do not come with near as much standard equipment as their EV counterparts. This has been addressed before so that is all I am going to say on that. My original point stand. They are ALL overpriced. But they are not and one has a hatch and one doesn't. It's not even the same platform, never mind the package differences that I just covered.

Then it's in great company with literally every other make out there. Every new car and truck is overpriced. Kia could surprise folks and do that but I wouldn't count on it.

Yale Study Debunks Myth that EVs Create More Emissions than ICE
And just wait until we see a whole generation of mechanics that are raised on nothing but EVs (since there is the implication of 100% EV marketshare). Sure there will be some old school grease monkeys coming of age but when EVs become the dominant powertrain on the roads (notice the absence of the word "if" there), they will be fewer and fewer with each passing generation. Such is human history and all.

Apparently I forgot to put a sarcasm tag on this part.

Yale Study Debunks Myth that EVs Create More Emissions than ICE
You basically your response is "meh" and might as do nothing? Just stay with ICEs and keep on the crappy track this country (and most of the world) has riding on for the last century? F progress. F what is better LONG TERM. No offense Balth, but that is all I'm seeing here, just a litany of excuses. Just skip the fact that NOW todays cars are SOO reliable that the vast majority will last for the next 15-30 years, even with 100% EV marketshare taking hold. I'm no mathematician nor do I work in logistics, but that entire statement is flawed down to its very core and your know it.

Good thing it's not the only EV sold in Korea and using the SMK cherry picking method is not the way here. https://www.just-auto.com/news/south-korean-ev-sales-almost-double-in-january-september/

True to a point but I am willing to bet serious money that there are far more folks flooring the gas pedal to get 0-60 than there are folks towing 30K lbs.

Which is perfect for the three folks who actually tow anywhere near that much stuff ?

Bearing in mind that these are purely concept renderings (skipping that Polestar like taillight treatment that will never go on a Caddy), there is potential there. However, will Cadillac actually build it? That's the bigger question here.

Sorry but once I saw it, I couldn’t “unsee” it lol.

So the Chinese Lincoln is basically an Audi on the outside (with K5 taillights). Unfortunate.

As an owner of two rescues myself, I 100% get this. Great that she now has a loving home though.

I have an Apple and Facebook account but I do not use auto login on my browser. Not a biggie but it basically says what the other articles state regarding Ford and GM gong after problem dealers for unacceptably high markups. Allow me to "cheat". Here are four screenshots of the article.

Doesn't do that on my Mac browser so I cannot account for any unforeseen issues. Thanks for providing the additional links @David. I would have to make out a living will before driving that one but I would die a happy man, I can promise you that!

Not exactly hard to outsell a Tundra right now considering that model is on the way out to make way for the new model. The 2022 model just released in December. meanwhile, the Tacoma sold over 15K. Good start for the Maverick but the article was lazy to bring up a full size outgoing pick up to the conversation. The software they used, Forscan, is pretty common in the Ford world. That is what I used when I swapped out my Sync2 for a Sync3 system in my Flex. What that guy is doing is neat but clearly a hassle as well (as documented in that article). Not having a working airbag in your steering wheel is a pretty big no no, just to gain cruise control. That's more of a Frankenstein swap lol, bound to cause problems.

Because, for the last time, I am talking about engine upgrades within a particular truck. Has zero to do with the model itself. I am showing you that within one model truck, there is a huge jump from gas power to diesel power, similar to how there is a jump with the Lightning. This jump is not unique to EVs and that is my one and only point here. Singling out EVs here ignores that very fact.
-

The focus is not the truck here. It’s the engine options and the price bump that goes with it. You know exactly what I’m talking about.
-

The class is irrelevant. Diesel itself has always commanded a certain premium without the extra package that is offered on top of the extended range Lightning. They are not any near as far off as you are implying once you stop comparing apples to oranges. And was explained to him yet again and he chose to ignore it. Again, that SMK method.

Good thing that never happened with ICE trucks. Just a $10K bump for a diesel engine, thats all. Just skip the fact that the longer range battery also comes with 137 extra horsepower and more standard equipment. Seriously, maybe stop using the SMK method and actually compare apples to apples. BTW, $9K of the $19K for an equipment group bump up. If you go with the standard range model, it is a $9K option so you are really only paying $10K for more range and more power, same as if one went from gas to diesel in your average Super Duty truck.
