  1. I would...but somehow I can't see a cavalier being a t!6ght wh1p$....
  2. If the gas prices go sky high, I'm sure Iran will be to blame... I''m expecting gas prices to hit 3 bucks by the middle of april... The last 2 weeks here, gas prices now jump twice a week..

Amen to that...most of the cars that I know (like my wife's cav), the brakes just don't last...

Best wishes to you, and please take care of yourself. I've learned a lot from you, my friend.... Just don't forget to take it easy... :AH-HA_wink:

Hmmm..I gotta take a better look at the engine...noticed it was a bit shiney up front.... Hmmm...the Cav is rusting...so far most of it is at the bottom of the doors, hatch, though it is starting to eat away at the bottom panel... THough you do make a great point about fixing the cav.... The rust doesn't worry me as much as the fuel system, as it seems I'm replacing most of that...

Ok, I'm debating if it is time for a new 3rd car...... Have now: 93 Cavalier wagon, 3.1, 135k, needs new-gas tank(maybe line also) EGR. Rusty, but for the most part, very trusty... Considering: 98 Mailbu,3.1, 72k good shape for age..newer alt, runs pretty good.. dealership wants $4900...should be ablr to talk them into the low 4s.... Could get 600-700 for the wagon....and put a little cash down too... I was planning to fix the wagon, but this had me thinking: Fix the wagon, or just get the Bu'? What do you think?
  7. It's no worse than than my neighbor telling how great his Ford Focus was regardless the fact it somehow likes to eat batteries... You are going to have people on both sides living in their own little world. It happens... Makes you wonder what happened to the old fashion just taking them for a test drive...YOU test em'..and YOU see what you think it best....Mags just don't do it for me... I've actually driven many new cars from both sides...and they pretty much drive the same..though we could go back and forth and the differences.... They are not as different as people lke to think...
  8. Something tells me you know very little about marketing. Marketing sells cars-not much else. If you know how to sell something-heck, you could sell a steaming pile of poo. Marketing and image sells everything here..
  9. I know how you feel...my first was a 87 Cav w/ a 2.0.... you could push it faster than you could drive it...
  10. Sweet! I just saw one of those a few days ago... they look like a blast to drive....
  11. That's what I thought too.. Makes me glad I have a winter beater...hopefully it will make it though the winter.... Stupid Michigan salt and roads..
  12. Ouch! And they could still sell that Tahoe for full price if they wanted too... Or even make it a test driver...
  13. I could happen...
  14. Attention? Yes.... It's about due for a overhaul... And to really have a chance, they have to do a lot better than the 9-3 and 9-5.... They really don't compete all that well..... Put nicely, if GM can't do Saab right, they are better off getting rid of it....
  15. THere is still a very good chance that both Hummer And Saab WILL be gone. Postitive news= a better selling price. Don't let the smoke and mirrors fool you. GM does have plans to cut back- better it be selling Saab then dumping buick...
  16. If you're already down to a Cobalt, what about an Aveo? After driving I do have to say it does have balls for a little car. You could get a yellow one of those.... Hell, get in in teal. Why not? Unless the Cobalt will be your fun car( like in my plan), it not sure it would be worth the money.... Just sell the STS for cash...and think about it... Oh, and yellow? Why not laser blue? Man, I love that color....
  17. Darn. I though I had the oldest.. bet ya I have more rust though...
  18. What's wrong with quaker state motor oil? Comfused here....
  19. I guess you haven't driven my uncle' s Silverado then. Or my neighbors...
  20. I think you'd be surprised. I think they will lose more customers than you think. Granted they may not flock-BUT there will be a movement... People like my uncle who are tired of issues with his Silverado... My Aunt lives in Fort Worth, and both they and a few neighbors have been thinking about it. (tundra)..you just haven't heard they PR blitz yet... I highly doubt sales will come from those trucks. Granted they may not be great, but they still offer something different that is not Big three. Keep in mind the BIG 3 have nothing to gain, and everything to lose. And that noise you hear in the background is everyone else chipping away... They don't HAVE to own the market, just keep TAKING AWAY....

    Looks nice...want to see more...
  22. looks quite good..simple and clean....
  23. Wow. Can a person see around that?
  24. I guess I should be sorry for myself...all I could afford... 2004 Cavalier (2dr) 2003 Cavalier (4dr) 1993 Cavalier RS wagon Though I''m not a sell-my-soul-to-GM kinda guy, But I'm sure one at least will still be a GM car...
