Congratulations. Hope you have many trouble-free miles. You deserve that after all the grief you've endured.

Your Project Plans for this Year
The IS300 has a dead battery and needs a jump. I haven't driven it in a couple of months. Other than that, just oil changes for all the vehicles.

A silver Cadillac Allante with a really loud exhaust. Probably needs a new muffler.

HYUNDAI SONATA!!!!
I like it more now than at first. On the other hand, I'm finding some details of the Optima to be overdone, like the front bumper.

All Your Spots Under One Umbrella
White Diamond CTS Coupe. Distinctive, for sure.

We've lost David E Davis and Jerry Flint in one year!
Just over 25 years ago, some of my favorite writers from Car and Driver disappeared, and I didn't know what happened until Automobile Magazine was introduced soon thereafter. That year, Automobile Magazine had a long table at the L.A. Auto Show, and I saw DED sitting there. I approached a lady at the table and asked if they were giving away magazines. She said they were selling subscriptions. I then approached DED and told him I enjoyed his new magazine. He said that he got a kick whenever he was recognized, and then the lady said that DED would autograph a magazine if I subscribed. I've been a subscriber ever since. This is the passing of a legend, and there won't be anyone of his stature again anytime soon.

Automatic seat belts
The Benz belts were a bit different in that on the SEC coupes, an arm brought the belts closer to the driver to manually buckle up. It's a quite an elegant solution to making it easier to buckle up in a hardtop coupe, though seat-mounted belts probably would have been better yet.
