  1. Congrats on the milestone. I think I hit the same one last month. I found this site also when looking for info on the GMT355.

The stick on the IS300 was a five-speed, and it was available beginning with the 2002 model year. The mileage and range on an IS isn't the greatest, but it's a lot of car for the money. The CL-S is a nice, powerful ride if FWD isn't an issue. The GP Comp G is a little out of place on the list. I didn't care for it at all on the test drive.

My '91 Integra had them. I didn't mind them too much. They were known in the car magazines as motorized mice. The sad thing is that they were inferior to regular old seatbelts, and a lot of people wouldn't bother latching the separate lap belt. As moltie mentioned, GM's execution of passive door-mounted seatbelts borders on shameful. They met the letter of the law but nobody used them that way, and they felt too loose on sedans and blocked side visibility when nobody was sitting on the passenger seat.

  9. Congrats on the job reg. It's nice to sell a brand that you believe in. I actually like Suzukis, particularly the SX4. The couple of things I'd worry about are resale value and whether Suzuki will still be around here in ten years.

I didn't have any problem using the cruise control, but it took a while to get used to where the turn signal was located, which is slightly lower than almost every other vehicle on the market. I wasn't the only person to have a problem with these stalk and I have spoken to Mercedes-Benz owners who made the same complaint as I did. It just takes some getting used to. I take back my comments on the MB cruise control and turn signal stalks. The current MB setup is poorly executed. I drove a GLK, and I'm assuming the R-Class has a similar layout, and the turn signal stalk is too low, and the cruise control stalk is too close to the wheel. I inadvertently used the cruise stalk a couple of times.

I enjoyed the article, especially with regards to its positioning in the MB lineup and how it is not just a minivan with rear hinged side doors. I suspect it would have been more successful in the marketplace had it been designed and marketed as a proper minivan because it certainly looks like one without having the full functionality of one. COMMAND should be COMAND. I've never had issues with the MB cruise control stalk and accidentally triggering it when using the turn signal. It's easier to engage and disengage cruise on a Benz than other vehicles because you can keep your hands on the wheel for all functions.

  21. Better looking than the sedan. The look is also reminiscent of the saabaru 9-2X.
  22. Nice two-door sedan. Far better than the last C-Class coupe hatchback thing that should have stayed in Europe. This bodystyle is such a no-brainer with BMW's success with the 3-Series. I find it odd that Lexus still hasn't done a proper coupe version of the IS, though one is rumored to be on the way for the next generation.

  25. The TL still looks like a bloated pig, but the toned-down nose is a huge improvement.
