Spy Photos 2008 Dodge Challenger
Everyone is so down on this being a $50,000 Dodge. 50K is too much for ANY muscle car, regardless how how well-equipped it is. Doing that is to miss one of the fundamental draws to muscle cars...to be affordable to most people. Even the starting price is too much...a starting price of $31,000 is ridiculous.

GM bringing 1,200 jobs to Pontiac
We know. The point is the jobs will all be consolidated IN Pontiac, helping the city, therefore, being good news.

A quick question: Do all of the badges on cars piss you off?
Keep with the big three: Make, model and trim. I don't care what engine it has, I don't care if its a FlexFuel or hybrid, I don't care if its AWD...just get to the point, I don't want to absorb everything about the car at a glance while I'm behind it at a stoplight. And on a similar, but unrelated note that this topic got me thinking about: on my way to Ohio a few months ago I was behind a Dodge Ram with the brand name misspelled. "Dogde". Talk about a glaring oversight. My friend and I followed him on the expressway for about five miles laughing all the while.

The Future of Pontiac
The first thing Pontiac really needs to worry about is product...but that's nearly overshadowed by its need to establish itself as a global brand.

GM bringing 1,200 jobs to Pontiac
Great news for Pontiac.

Delphi reaches labor deal with UAW and GM
If this deal is approved, Delphi Flint East will be spared the axe...so with concern for my hometown and the 1,050 jobs the plant offers, I hope it gets ratified.

Less-than-Brillance - China's BS6 collapses in crash test
They're actually allowed to sell this kind of $h!?

How often do you clean your vehicle(s)?
I always try to wash it once every few weeks. I need to clean all the crap out of the interior though. I've still got textbooks, notes and homework from my last semester in there.

China-Made Tires Are Subject Of Lawsuit After Fatal Accident
This is exactly why I'm becoming increasingly wary of any Chinese-built cars.

Terrible fleet numbers for GM, Ford, DCX
The one that truly surprised me was the Avenger. The Aura did a bit, too.

What GM brands have you owned/not owned
Well...just the Olds so far, but I'm sure that won't be the last. Pontiac and Buick are where its at. As far as my family goes: 1977 Pontiac Firebird 1980 Chevrolet Chevette 1984 Pontiac Firebird 1987 Pontiac 6000 (my poor dad had to get rid of the Firebird because I was born) 1995 Oldsmobile Eighty-Eight 1997 GMC Savanna 2002 Pontiac Bonneville 2003 Pontiac Vibe 2005 Chevrolet Equinox My family does love its Pontiacs.

Invasion of the Camry...
Well, Flint's a big GM town, so Toyota doesn't really pull much weight around here. I think as far as popularity goes, the Camry ranks either 24th or 26th in the area. GM pulls down numbers 1-9 and the Fusion comes in at 10.

GM's Saab cuts targets on way to break even
I'd really rather Saab be the eccentric, quirky car that it was. The luxury thing doesn't quite fit.

My friend is getting an Luxury CUV/SUV... HELP!
Bah. Tell her to try out an Enclave before she automatically writes it off because its "too big".

Day of suckage
Yesterday I up and called work (I work in a restaurant kitchen) only to find out they didn't even need me in for another six hours, so I just kinda hung out for the time being. When I got to work I was soon pleasantly surprised that all the really pretty waitresses (who are, to my delight, all about my age) were working. God help me I'm such a sucker for a pretty girl...I don't usually help anyone with their cleanup jobs, as I'm too busy with mine, but damn it all, I just couldn't help myself.

BARCELONA: 2008 Chevrolet Matiz
I am so not a fan of this kind of car.

The last Monte Carlo was made today
The only Monte Carlos I really give a crap about are the first gens. Everything past that is wholly forgettable.

My Alero...10 days old
My friend has an Alero. I like it until we go somewhere and my 6'2" ass gets crammed in the backseat... A very fine car, though.

Senators reach agreement on fuel economy
Alternate fuels, alternate fuels, alternate fuels, alternate fuels, alternate fuels... Are they really thinking that by 2020, all the automakers will still be using, or have no plans to get off, fossil fuels?

GM Movin' on Up with Luxury Condos on Detroit Riverfront
I tend to agree, but this isn't an entirely bad idea either.

2010 Pontiac Firebird or GTO?
My dad loves Pontiac. I think if I let him know about this, he'll decide to hang on to his Bonneville for a few years longer so he can get his hands on one...especially if they call it "Firebird".

Buick ditches Tiger for actual product-focused marketing
Get rid of Tiger Woods for good, I say. He didn't help move Buick's stuff at all, what makes them think he'll be a better spokesman elsewhere? Buick needs really ruthless marketing to get back into shape. Its finally getting the products, now it needs to beat into the heads of its target market that it is better than those other guys.

Enclave brings optimism for Buick
Buick still resonates more with Flint than it ever will with any other city, regardless of whether or not we build them. And even though it was older than hell, it was still pretty stupid of GM to shut down their biggest factory. It made about as much sense as if Ford shut down River Rogue.

JUST FOR FLY
Silly Kia...don't you know that no one buys your cars because they want them? You make cheap, unstylish crap for people who don't care what they drive. Please don't stray from your market niche.

Toyota to offer up to $3500 rebate on Tundra
Man...I'm glad I don't live where you live. I've only seen two on the road this far, and the last one was at least two and a half months ago. I mean, I've seen as many H1s as 2007 Tundras around.
