April Showers bring out the Classics... in MAY!
-1949 Chrysler Windsor -1957 Bel Air -1959 Eldorado -1970 Monte Carlo -1970 Barracuda Plus a few SSRs and late model Thunderbirds and a few more cars that I couldn't immediately identify. And an old light green, 2-seater Geo Metro convertible...possibly the dorkiest ride I've ever seen in my life. My brother also claims to have seen a Delorean rolling around our neighborhood.

Buick: Drive Beautiful
"Drive Beautiful" No thanks. I like "Beyond Precision" much better. "Drive Beautiful" sounds too much like an English translation of a slogan.

Automakers are increasingly going global
I'm actualy very pleased with the numbers given as a fan and supporter of the Big Three and as a guy who despises Toyota with every fiber of his being.

how i would fix Saab
Dude, I'm 20. I don't even remember AMC. I just think that out of all GM's brands, Saab is the biggest drain.

The average joe's thoughts on the auto industry
I do the same thing. My grandpa's been working at a Flint auto auction for about 7 years now and has driven just about every car known to man. He is the perfect person to talk to if you want the import/domestic myths straightened out. His opinion of Toyota: "They're nice, competent cars, but they're not beyond perfect like everyone thinks." He hates Scions with a burning passion and has told me that he doesn't like Lexus because, since they've got so much in the way of electronics, if left alone for a week or so, they'll need a jump. The man swears by Chevrolet and Ford up and down and judging by the conditions of his 11-year old F-150 and 15-year old Silverado, he's got some reason to.

how i would fix Saab
Here's another way to fix Saab: It gets sold.

Scott Adams comments on Automakers...
I gotta go with Ford. No other company has enticed me with their concepts and then disappointed me with their production vehicles quite like Ford has.

What is your area like?
Swartz Creek is just a little kind-of farm town southwest of Flint. Its small, quiet and nice...just a little over 5,000 people I don't live in the city though, I live in the area between Swartz Creek and Flint, just about a mile away from both.

Dodge Caliber SRT4...Unmasked?
I don't much care for it, but then I'm not a fan of the Caliber in the first place.

Toyota wouldn't have grabbed the global sales crown if GM hadn't killed Oldsmobile.
Toyota's number one...big deal. Its not a bad thing GM is focusing more on being profitable right now. Give it time, once GM is good and healthy again it won't take much for them to snatch back the #1 spot.

And you thought the Aztek was ugly
Please tell me this is at least a concept car...and that accordion spoiler thing, what the hell is that even supposed to do?

You ready for a V8-powered, RWD coupe from Hyundai?
Regardless of copying American style, its still a Hyundai.

Saturn's New Retail Look
Its a shame Flint got the way it is. I love the town, but you're absolutely right, its an eyesore.

Toyota Tops GM in 1Q Global Auto Sales
Toyota has grown at an alarming rate. In the last few years its passed DaimlerChrysler and Ford and now its GM's turn. Toyota's goal was to overtake the American auto industry...they may have failed to put any of the Big Three out of business, they've essentially completed their goal. Now what? Any company...ANY...will be scrambling to cover all their ground after such explosive growth and something in their operations is liable to give, causing problems. Toyota's become disgustingly arrogant, the quality of their vehicles is slipping...we're even seeing the beginning of some anti-Toyota sentiment. If this is how they're acting after being number one for only a few months, just imagine how complacent they'll get in a few years. Personally, I'm hoping to see Toyota get like GM got in the 80's, just to watch them crumble and fall.

Saturn's New Retail Look
I like it. I can't wait for the Saturn dealer in Flint to get a makeover...unfortunately it'll still have the Hyundai dealer eyesore right next to it.

So I got to ride in a Civic yesterday
I guess so, but they put me on dishwashing duty at work today, so I guess that's stuck in my head.
-
So I got to ride in a Civic yesterday
When I think Honda, I think dishwashers. I want a car with a little character, not a mobile appliance. I'll stick to GM, Ford and Chrysler.

Buick Riviera
I like it. Why can't Buick America be a little more like Buick China?

Chrysler invests in Michigan
Regardless of the trouble the Detroit Three are in, its always comforting when they invest in the state. Its a good day for Michigan.

Bring Me The Chevy TAVERA NEO Now!
That think looks like a guy who just got hit in the head with a shovel.

SHOULD GM (and Ford) MOVE OUT OF MICHIGAN
No, it doesn't happen. At least not where I live.
-
SHOULD GM (and Ford) MOVE OUT OF MICHIGAN
1. Michigan's government is helping a hell of a lot more than you think. 2. I belive unions are far more prevalent in New York. 3. The Big Three have plants in southern states, but that doesn't mean they should move their headquarters down there. 4. Detroit's America's 11th largest city, I can't really see any benefits from moving the Big Three to #1 or #2. 5. You're acting like American auto companies only build cars in Michigan. GM alone has plants in 30 states. 6. So should all big businesses move closer to political centers or just the automakers? 7. Are you saying that Michigan workers are somehow subpar compared to the rest of the United States? 8. They'd have to move their entire headquarters there? Not just build tech centers or something? 9. Yeah, a fine reason for moving, right there. 10. Duh, but we've still got the Red Wings and the Tigers.

2007 Buick Excelle
I hate it. The interior, the exterior, the entire thing. Buick is a premium brand and deserves better treatment than this crap. There's something about the Excelle that makes me think of Hyundai, and I don't like it.

Spied: 2008 Honda Accord Coupe
Exactly what do you mean by "better"?
-
Spied: 2008 Honda Accord Coupe
Traditionally, Honda has failed to impress me with any aspect of their cars other than fuel economy. The new Accord coupe changes nothing. Bring me a Mailibu so that I may forget about this car.
