  1. This will vary daily, but for now: GM: Silverado LT1 regular cab shortbed Z71 4X4 in dark blue, with powertrain enhancements, and nice rims with bigger than stock tires. Ford: Mustang GT, Legend Lime/black leather, spoiler delete, 5 speed, loaded. Chrysler: 300 SRT8 in silver. Euro: new style GTI in bright blue/black leather with a true manual trans, loaded. Asian: Nissan 350Z Track Edition, bright blue/black leather.
  2. That's the hard vs. soft argument, not the light vs. heavy argument!
  3. That little blue '53 (or '54?) is one of my favorite Plymouths.
  4. Viper, maybe newer Accords are built better than the one in the video, what is it, an '88? '89? That ol' ass Accord in the video, I'm willing to bet, wouldn't be any safer than a Grand Am of that same time... none of the manufacturers were as hellbent on crash test scores as they are today. Not that it's a bad thing. If a car can be made smarter, structurally, to protect us in an accident, I'm all for it. As for mass, think of it this way. Hit a golf ball with a golf club, then hit a golf club with a golf ball. Now what?

Thanks for the update, lakie. Sounds like everything is going well. Glad to hear it, and Happy Holidays to you and yours, as well, sir.
  6. Hehehe, Satty, that signature... I got a genuine VW tire pressure gauge when I bought my '00 GTI. Uh, woo...hoo. :AH-HA_wink:
  7. From what Viper tried to say on here through the alcohol, his mother wasn't grilling him about his sexuality, but about missing school, which, from what I've been able to infer from those drunken posts, he partially blames on his sexual confusion. She may not be making any sort of connection between his lack of attendance and his love issues, at least from what Vipes has shared. No kid should have to deal alone with realizing they may be gay. I really hope he comes through this phase none the worse for wear and is able to thrive in a small town environment. Who knows, he may just be experimenting without realizing it. Sexuality is not fixed, imo, it can change, and these years are especially tumultuous for many of us, even those who later identify as heterosexual. He's an opinionated little dude, but I know a lot of us care about what happens to him and want to see him succeed and excel at life.
  8. I want either the light blue Gremlin in the top photo, or the calf sh*t yellow Hornet two-door. Then I'd stick a warmed-up 401 under the hood and have me a bitchin' Rambler.
  9. Well, it's the dude's wife's truck. Someone side swiped her, so we put a used door on it (painted to match of course) and fixed the rocker panel, only the rocker was rusty in addition to being bent, and insurance won't cover rust, so we had to charge the customer to fix it. Then the insurance company had a bunch of extra work that wasn't necessary on their repair estimate. The vehicle had prior bad bodywork done all around. Then, the lady called with a crazy list of things she wanted done to the truck on top of the collision repair... water was coming in to the front floor area, someone keyed the whole right side, etc. etc. We basically restored this P.O.S. It turned out pretty nice, imo. Nothing major, just another day in "restore my vehicle to better than new condition or else" land. :AH-HA_wink:
  10. Well, you can see his posts from last night. He slurred all his words. He was drunk, and he said his mom was grilling him and wouldn't leave him be. I just hope he's alright.
  11. BV is probably at his mother's mercy today, after last night. I wonder if he told her. I hope he's ok.
  12. I'll chime in and agree with Fly. For some inexplicable reason, the older '83-'94 Blazers felt more stable in corners than the later models.

Wait a sec, either I need new glasses or Sixty8 just said he prefers trannies named Manuel. Am I seeing things?
  14. I wonder if I can get a kit similar to that for my Colorado. Those Fiero dudes are... less than sexy. <_<
  15. I have that Johnny Lightning HHR here on my puter desk. Haven't seen any others yet.
  16. Ew, that dude's a nerd. Look at those socks, and that stoopit Civic Hybrid. ugh...
  17. Well, I guess somebody'll be sleeping it off this morning.
  18. A customer came to the window yesterday to pick up his ol ass, crappy Rodeo. It was supposed to be ready on Wednesday, but wasn't. I apologized to him for the lateness, then he dropped a laser guided bomb on my head... "Oh, that's ok, I have plenty of vehicles. I just picked up a little Pontiac Solstice. You can't beat it for the price. It was only $23k, and it's loaded." It's triple black. I'm so damn jealous.
  19. I'm scared to ask... what kind of juice?
  20. Is there still a 4 cylinder BMW available in the US?
  21. So Ben, what do you think of the new Challenger? Nice, huh?
  22. Welcome aboard, Kaylan! That's a sweet looking SAAB you've got. :)
  23. I was wondering the same thing. Maybe he decided to accept the Lumina from his grandmother and he's out driving in the snow. I hope he did. :)
  24. ocnblu replied to Cory Wolfe's topic in The Lounge
Viper, Sixty8 is right you know. Take the Lumina. Your driving life is just beginning. This Lumina is a blessing staring you in the face. It's your freedom. Take it. Take good care of it until you can dump it on something that you really want, but don't miss this opportunity. Seriously.
  25. Nothing wrong with 'em being soft in front and back, but they gotta be hard on the sides. That Honda was almost cut in half by the Caprice. Look at that roof for an idea of how deep the doors were pushed in. Pretty damn far, almost halfway over. Duh, I'd rather be in the B-body. By the way, the Caprice started off with no front bumper cover or headlights.
