  1. Not bad... A lot more visually appealing then the soulless xA, xB, xD (and any other Scion that's not the tC).
  2. The majority end in "ian" or "yan." The others have either chopped that part off, or have changed their last names to something less Armenian (ex. changed to Turkish sounding names during WWI). All the last names you mentioned are Armenian. I have seen Indian last names end in "ian," and there are some clearly American/European last name that end in "ian," but at least those are obviously not Armenian (at least to me).

Really. At least to me (6'3") the second row of the Enclave is much more comfortable. Maybe it's because the Enclave's second row can be slid forward/backward to give me more leg room. Though the Tahoe's seats are more bulky and less hugging (maybe the Escalade's are more cushy?).
  4. I wouldn't have it any other way! E-mail has been sent.

Verizon, MOTO KRZR K1M. Mostly happy. The phone itself is fine. The problem is, I get reception everywhere EXCEPT home. My bill is around $52 a month ($39.99/mo calling plan, plus $5 for 250 txt and $2 for basic insurance, plus taxes/fees/etc.). No plans on switching.

The one and only reason I wish I never did register to vote... JURY DUTY SUMMONS!

8 years and 66k miles later, my aunt and uncles' 'vacation house car' Venture in San Diego has had zero problems with the power sliding door. It even plays a nice jingle when you close it!

A bit Lexus GS-y, but very good. The interior looks sweet!

Because the headset doesn't work well? Or, because now we are subject to ass wipes with their headsets permanently attached to their head, whether they really need to be hands-free or not, and it's so annoying, and it always takes a few seconds to figure out who some nut is talking to?
  10. Speaking of which, where do you get these animated flag avatars?

Took my mom's FWD Enclave on a ~215 mile round trip and got around 25/26 mpg all highway. I was driving by myself... mpg drops by a couple mpg when its loaded up with 5-6 people.

Agreed on the interior. I don't mind the exterior being king of blah, but I can't stand the tail lamps. They just don't look like they belong (maybe they are too wide?).
  13. Really? Why? Will the (Daewoo based) replacement suck?

I love that color on the Astra. It looks so much better in person than online or in the brochure, and it makes the car stand out more then just plain silver.

I think GM has designed it to occasionally start the engine to make sure there aren't problems with prolonged down-time.

You have stereo controls on the steering wheel, so that should be a moot point. Furthermore, HVAC controls aren't used that often, so it can't be that big a deal to look away and operate them once in a while. Plus, it probably wouldn't take long to get used to all (not that there are that many) the button locations. Just out of curiosity... what are your opinions on touch screen NAV units?

Lucky me... So, even FDIC insured moeny isn't safe?
  18. AAS replied to Z-06's post in a topic in The Lounge
What exactly happens if the FDIC can't insure the $$$ in the bank? Can this really happen? Should I close my savings account and horde my $$$ under the bed?

So... it only seats 4 people?

The one with the leaf on the right (I think) looks like a mock-up, since the CD slot isn't even open. You can also see that the "econ/sport" mode in the mock-up becane "econ/hold."
  21. Wow. Hilarious... I was waiting for the "this isn't what it looks like" part of the scene, but it never happened...

I wouldn't mind if they just ripped off the 5th gen.

Picked it up yesterday, can't wait to play it on my drives between Los Angeles and San Diego so I can listen to it in its entirety.

I once heard that the frying oil even needs to be "broken in" before it will perform best.
