  1. The design hasn't aged well, they just look ridiculous and tacky now.
  2. Why? Why did anyone think that was a good idea? Why did every other person buy one?
  3. Which actually doesn't matter when your daily drive is 20 miles if stop-and-go driving.
  4. I'm sure they can make parts of Alpha out of concrete and lead to recreate Zeta.
  5. Remember when you were a kid and your friends got toys your family couldn't afford so you said,"that's a dumb toy, I don't want it"? Yeah.
  6. Hardly a disappointment, as long as you accept that car companies frequently mis-use antique terminology, like "shooting brake."
  7. Failure, unless they flood the airways with commercials starring William Hung.
  8. Off the top of my head, the Century
  9. Camaro convertible minus the pesky front end. I assume it was in an accident, but remain open to the idea that the owner was trying to make a Camaro Superleggera.
  10. Yeah, it only costs $50,000 to re-engineer a car, so they might as well have 17 body styles for every car.
  11. That still works out to like 7bhp/ton.
  12. Satty replied to FAPTurbo's topic in The Lounge
    That was covered earlier.

Istanbul was Constantinople now its Istanbul not Constantinople
  14. 1) Nobody mentioned a Cruze until you 2) The "dangerously unemployed" line leads me to believe there is no intention of putting 20 grand into anything.
  15. You have to, I mean they're long, low, wide, curvy and capable of 0-60 in under 6 seconds. Deplorable. Heinous, really.
  16. Buick is quickly becoming GM's most alluring brand. Never thought I'd say that.
  17. Between public transportation, my bike and my wife's car being far more practical, I can go weeks without driving the Jetta. Wonder if I could pull off selling it and buying a vintage 911.
  18. $16 grand would nearly cover a year on the Metro as well. Trains are bloody brilliant. My bike, that's also brilliant. Trying to drive anywhere within 30 miles of D.C. is f@#king retarded, no matter what you're in. In short, urban cars are always going to have drawbacks, there are better ways to get around, for most people.
  19. The iQ gets great mileage in the city and can, theoretically, seat 4. If you never leave densely populated areas and need to haul small pets or groceries, the iQ makes a bit of sense, more than something bigger you get used. The smart works as an enclosed motorcycle, more or less.
  20. Brilliantly packaged, but $16 grand will buy a lot of other cars.
  21. Not if you have a kid or a dog or if you have to haul anything more significant than a laptop.
  22. So instead of Doaniepoo, do we call you Doanieflew?
  23. Ohio State is in Columbus, not that college kids are mischievous.
