compact cars and subcompact cars thoughts
The Cooper and 500 and nothing else matters, although the 1-Series is starting to grow on me.

Perspective shift
Driving across flat states (Illinois, Missouri, Indiana) without a car full of stuff my car will get 48, I imagine it would get some incredible mileage if it lost 1/3 of its weight. Modern diesel technology is extremely impressive.

How much car can you afford?
I'd take a Cruze over an LSS in a heartbeat. You may not be able to get 5 fat Americans in a Cruze, but 10 airbags, AM/FM/XM/CD/AUX, keyless entry, Stabilitrack, TPMS, 36mpg, 5/100k powertrain warranty.......

Batten down the hatches Dodgefan
Glad you made it out ok. You guys may have heard about the massive tornado that hit Joplin, MO last month. I lost a former colleague in that storm and have been back in Missouri for a few weeks helping displaced families. Moral of the story: nature sucks.

The thing about driving a diesel is...
It's hit or miss in MO I guess because something similar nearly happened with the Fusion due to poor signage, but this gas station wasn't very up to date, I couldn't even pay at the pump. Oh well, I blame Enterprise for giving something as forgetable as an Impala. I'm sure it'll be fine.

The thing about driving a diesel is...
That when you're out of town and need to fill up the rental car you will put about a gallon of diesel in before you realize what you're doing.....

Portion Control
I'd have a Volt in a heartbeat, and I assume that if I won the lottery I'd be able to buy my way to the top of the list.

VE Ute won't be exported to US
Every year it seems we have a rumor about a new El Camino and we get people saying its going to happen and its going to sell in droves, they just know it. Then GM says it won't happen and C&G is taken over by butthurt.

Maybe it can come over as a Pontiac.

87 Octane Is S!@&
I tend to go with what the manufacturer recommends, cars tend to run like $h! on lower than recommended octane fuel.

The Last American Hero
Black is a bit cliche for stripes, but something like gunmetal might break up the silver. I wish I could do something on my car, but a Jetta wagon with stripes just seems wrong.

The Last American Hero
Great now we need to find a new C&G whipping boy. Edit: If possible, get a stripe painted on, this car, like all cars really, can look a bit dull in silver. But really, congrats on it.
