  1. Great read. Thanks. The only rating I would change is the HHR. I would give it an A. It has turned out to be way more successful than anyone, except Lutz, expected.
  2. The good and the bad about having the most athiest / agnostics in Oregon; Bad - Highest suicide rate in the country Good - Dealers are open, though I'm not so sure this is such a good thing.
  3. Out here in Newberg I see mostly Chevys from Loren Berg (where we bought ours). In Portland and Beaverton I see mostly toyotas and hondas with a lot of Tahoes and Subarus mixed in.
  4. Yeah . . . uh see . . . that's the problem. GM never does much for advertising here in the NW as compared to honda or toyota.
  5. Besides 1 Cadillac CTS smaller lease ad, a small Hummer ad, and a sliver of a dealer saying they'll sell any 05 over $150 over invoice, there are no other new GM products being advertised in this weekends edition of the Autos/Drivetime in the Portland, OR newspaper (the Oregonian). In comparison; honda = 7 (not inc. acura) toyota = 7 (not inc. lexus) Mazda = 4 Subaru = 5 VW = 4 (not inc. Audi) nissan = 6 (not inc. infiniti) Chrysler = 15 (not inc. Mitsu & Mercedes) Ford = 8 Note to GM; If you want to sell cars you need to advertise. You will continue to loose market share if you don't tell people about your great products, and not about the latest sale. I've noticed over the last few years that the GM dealers in the Portland area do very little advertising. They are so sad on product pushing that one of our local dealers is a Subaru / Chevy Dealer, and the Subaru side out sells the Chevy side. What a sad state of affairs for GM and it's dealers.
  6. So in this case it's ok to rip on a supposed majority (which I don't think they are anymore)? I would find it very sad if someone made such a sight about Muslims. Why wouldn't I, or anyone else for that matter, find it sad if a website like that was made a about any other group, including Christians. For the record, I'm no fundamentalist, nor do I think they bode well for Christians. I happen to be Quaker.
  7. What's wrong with people. It's not ok to make fun of Muslims, Jews, Gays, etc., why is it ok to make fun of Christians? I find this to be very offensive and shows what a sad state of affair our country is in.
  8. Sounds good, but in reality it probably isnt' what's going to happen.

I'm with you on this. Why wear it when it doesn't get you anything.
  10. It wouldn't be too difficult, they could just pull out the 1.9 they use in the Vauxhall.

  12. Great, yet sad read. Thanks.
  13. That's awesome. At some point in time, GM will be able to build anything anywhere.
  14. It has been dependent on what is going on in my life. This last time it was a little bit of both.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE GM bring this over as a Saturn. It would be great for your public image with good gas mileage, and a hot look.
  16. Great to hear the Escalade is different enough to stand out over the Tahoe, just hope the GMC GMT-900s are.
  17. I'm just hoping that the GMC and Chevy versions don't look so much alike it reminds us of the 1980s A & J bodies.
  18. My local dealer still doesn't have any, nor any brochures. The front end, new steering wheel, and dash changes sure do make a big difference. To bad they didnt' do it in the beginning.
  19. Who said you had to have common sense to be a man? Those look like great ideas to me. :)
  20. Buick doesn't have the lineup to attract people that are into the show. At this point they will only show how their cars are made to attract an older crowd. Until they have something like the Solstice, they need to stay away from shows like this. It will only hurt their image.
  21. For the first time since the original Saturn, they can actually put their cars in the commercials and not be imbaressed. YEAH!!
  22. I had a Dealer tell me that GM media events are one of the worst ones out there, and that GM doesn't "spoil" the media like the foreign manufactures month ago which is why the media tears GM apart. Hopefully with that type of knowledge in print, GM will make some changes. If they can't make the media happy, how can they expect them to recommend their cars?
  23. The plainer mirros (body colored) looked great on the Alero, but don't seem to fit the Grand Am's more flashy style.
  24. I hope GM has some great idea for the little car infusion where getting. So far no word which makes me a little worried with these higher gas prices. At some point they have got to figure out that not all people want big cars.

It would seem that both of the larger sedans would fit Buicks lineup better than Pontiacs.
